What are the signs my baby is a girl?
Really bad morning sickness is one sign.
I thought morning sickness was normal.
Around 70% of all women have morning sickness for at least the first trimester. However,
if you have morning sickness so bad you have to be hospitalized, there is an 80 to 90%
chance the baby is a girl.
Thank God my morning sickness is not that bad. What is another sign I’m having a girl?
You can be pretty sure after birth.
I’d like to know before birth.
You could get a sonogram. However, the doctor can’t be really sure until 24 weeks, because
the anatomy there is sometimes too hard to distinguish at 18 to 20 weeks when it first
becomes possible to see it.
I’ve heard there were ways to predict the baby will be a girl.
If you are a vegetarian, the odds are a few percent higher the baby will be a girl. That’s
probably why India had to have a dowry to marry girls off, due to excess supply.
I heard that the day you conceive can predict it. Or your dreams.
Your dreams just indicate what you want. And while you’re veering off into the supernatural,
at least you aren’t trying to pee on Draino.
I heard that the color can tell you what you’re having.
No, but the ammonia in your urine can trigger a chemical reaction that puts off heavy fumes.
You’d probably see a lot of colors before sinking into blackness and unconsciousness.
How else could I tell it’s a girl?
The older the father is, the less red meat you get, the more likely it is a girl. But
it is not like you get a color coded band on your stomach that says M or F.
I do have a red band of sorts.
That’s normal in the second trimester. Wait until you get a lot of purple or red stretch
marks.
