PHASES By Shane Hindocha
the loudest noise in your life... will be my silence...
Over the years I have found that most of us, if not all of us, have been wounded emotionally
in one way or another. However, it is very rare that you reveal your deepest, darkest
emotions to anyone, particularly yourself.
You focus on everything apart from facing the underlying sadness/loneliness that is
ever-present deep inside you.
The great thing is that once you acknowledge that this sadness is present, you will have
the power to transform this area of your life, allowing you to be truly happy with whom you
are and, just as importantly, who you are not.
It is this very concept that urged me to share "Phases," which I wrote over the course of
a year.
Each individual memoir was written at a point in the year when I had an experience that
created an intense urge in me to put pen to paper in order to express my inner-most thoughts
and feelings.
When I shared these memoirs, friends and family suffering from heart-break instantly connected
with what I had written. The positive impact it had on these people, who are so important
to me, encouraged me to write more... and a year later I had completed my first journal.
"Phases" will enable you to align yourself with your true emotions, putting aside your
pride and ego, allowing you to understand the complexity behind certain relationships.
My friends and family are testament to the amazing results that can be achieved.
My hope for this book is that it will help you transform the relationship you have with
yourself and others, as it has done for all that have read it...
...If so, it would have been worth all the effort and time spent in writing it.
'Candle'...
...was the first of these memoirs...
CANDLE
In honour of our sadness, this tale must be told.
We all do wonder how our lives will unfold. Scarred by the joy brought to us by a loved
one; The stitches of our efforts that have been
torn undone.
Instead a sad happiness we are forced to secure. A corpse with a pulse constantly crying, "No
more!" How much more pain can we possibly endure?
We look in desperation for a non-existent cure.
Slicing us deeper than any blade could. After assuring us first that no weapon would.
A false sense of safety, claiming nothing will go wrong;
To celebrate their betrayal, we all sing this song.
A betrayal so cold, that ice breaks a sweat, We were loyal, we were loving, this we can't
forget Yet here we stand, like strangers that never
met They abandoned us forever- their heart now
a stone that has set.
Will we get through this agonising brawl? Each morning we wake, our hopes fall to the
floor No texts, no calls, not even a glimpse.
How can someone so close to you cause such an eclipse?
We wonder, we dream, how hard we have fought. An underlying sadness clouds our every thought.
Yet we can smile, there is still fire in this candle...
GOD doesn't ever give us anything we can't handle.
