It's a wonderful day in the neighboorhood. Well, it's probably not a wonderful day in
your neighborhood because if you're watching this video odds are you've got rats or squirrels
in your attic. You're probably at your wit's end you've trapped them you've plugged holes.
You've done everything you can think of, they just chew back through or find some way to
get back in and they won't leave. Well, today, we're going to unbox the solution, the Evictor
Strobe Light 10k. The uh 10k version of the Evictor strobe light is weighs about 3.5 pounds
I think and it has 100,000 candlepower. (it has 175,000 candlepower) It pulses intermittently
I forget how often it pulses. It's not like a normal strobe light, it uh pulses much slower.
That effect tends to tire out the rodent's eyes or their irises or whatever. Anyway,
they don't like it and they leave. I like to think that it scares them but they say
it's not the scare factor. It's that their eyes are getting tired. So anyway, let's get
to the fun and unpack this sucker. Now this model is supposed to cover a 30 by 30 foot
square area in your attic which I may have mentioned before. Uh they have a larger model
its the uh has a million candle power. I don't have one of those. I think you could probably
summon aliens from outer space with that sucker. These strobe light 10ks are so bright I just
can't even imagine the larger one. Here we go. Open up the box, and there it is, tada!
Self contained ready to go. There's really no assembly to one of these. It's all ready
to go when they send it to you. They include a hook. You just screw that in to one of your
attic beams or whatever you've got in you crawlspace or wherever it can go. You can
use one of your own hooks. But they give you one. That's in there. And the whole unit is
all assembled and ready to put up. Down here is obviously where your bulb is in this housing.
Here's a little set screw which you take off when you want to change a bulb. Here' where
you hang it from. You have this steel cable, it's like a plastic coated steel cable. And
then they have a chain attached to the first I don't know couple or three feet of the uh
electrical cord. And you have all this electrical cord and wouldn't you know it I did not bother
to look up how many feet of electrical cord this is. It's a pretty good bit. Let's see
if we can get this unboxed here and give you an idea. Let's see that's three, six, nine,
I'm guessing twelve feet of cord. I could be wrong, ten twelve feet something like that.
You saw my rough measurements. And that sucker is bright. Let me tell ya. Pulses slowly and
the rodents and the squirrels they just don't like it at all. I'm going to put it back in
the box. And now we're going to unbox a replacement bulb. In this little box here. It's recommended
you change out your bulbs once a year. It has a little instruction manual on how to
do that. It says replacement strobe tube. But I'm going to show you what it is it's
in this little bubble bag. And there it is. I am no electrician it's there's the bulb
part. And it's got some electrical doodads here. What is is when you take the cover off
the light you slide the old one out and this has a plug system. It has 3 holes and there's
a place in there and you just slide the new light bulb in there. And then put your cover
back on and you're good to go. Like I said those suckers are bright. And it works. It's
worked for me that's for sure. Anyway, that was a lot of fun, there it is the Evictor
Strobe light 10k. Thanks for watching.
