Welcome to Tap That, iOS tips in 60 seconds or less.
Today we're looking at how to give a contact a nickname.
Contact cards have a series of hidden data fields you can add including birthday, job title, relatives, and a nickname.
Giving a contact a nickname allows you to use that name as shorthand with Siri.
"Ask Renegade what time dinner is."
Siri - "Here's your message to Barack Obama."
You can also ask Siri to assign nicknames for yourself and others.
"Call me the Don."
"Jane Smith is my mother."
iOS allows a range of family member titles and it will recognize "Mom," "Mother," & "Mommy" as all pointing towards the original contact.
That's it for now. Thanks for watching! Be sure to check out the Tap That channel and website for more tricks.
