Hi, this is Cable for Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to show you some principles
on scanning for digitally inking and painting drawn animation frames. Okay, so depending
on your storage space on your computer or your hard drive, you may need to lower the
resolution settings on your scanner or you may have the luxury of scanning at a high
resolution. For example, take a look at a comparison of scanning at a low resolution
versus scanning at a high resolution. And look at the image on the left compared to
the image on the right. And you can see just... in the event that you need to resize or zoom
in on your animation after it's inked, you can see that the line quality varies greatly
and the image on the right is degraded while the image on the left, which was scanned at
a much higher resolution, is much more intact and may present a little better-looking artwork
in the end.
