If a friend came up to me tomorrow and said I was going to Thailand I would say the number
one place to go is Chang Mai, because there is just that much variety of things to do
depending on the type of holiday you want. The first impression of zip lining - it's
very scary - you end up on this enormous platforms just hundreds of metres in the air on trees
that are swinging back and forth. It was amazing and such a rush.
You can choose different ages to go and see and you can go in and pat them and they take
photos of you and you can take photos and they wander around all the enclosures.
The Muay Thai boxing matches they start with really young kids and then they go up in age
groups to about 16 or 17. If you can go over there and support the locals in any way it
is important. Phi Phi Island is a tiny island just off the
coast of Phuket. It has a little village, the cove is lined with bars and clubs so you
can lie on the beach all day and you can do all the water sports and explore the island
and then you can party on with your mates later in the night.
Thailand is a very cheap holiday so it shouldn't take you long to save even if you wanted to
go for a week you'd be able to do that quite easily.
