So, you've decided to start college and start working towards your dream career.
The first thing you need to do is take the TSI Assessment.
Odds are, you haven't seen most of what is tested in 3 years or more.
So what happens if you go in cold without preparing for the TSI?
The short answer is: you'll get a lower score than you should.
Well, a low score will place you in developmental education courses.
Each course costs about $250 plus another
$100 or so for books and materials. That's $350 per
course!
That's possibly $1,000 or more spent on coursework you may have avoided
if you had prepared for the TSI.
If you're not worried about money, then what about your time?
On average, you'll spend about 50 hours in the classroom per course
and another 100 hours doing homework. That's a total of 150 hours of your life
for a course you may not have needed. Four of those courses
add up to 600 hours of your life. That's a lot of time and money.
How would things be different if you spent a few hours preparing for the TSI?
You'll get a higher score on the placement test, so
you'll skip basic courses you don't need, which means
save hundreds of dollars,
and you'll earn your degree faster, and move on to the life and career that you want.
So, study for your TSI Assessment.
Be prepared. It will truly make a difference.
