I wanted a college that had a lot of
balance, and by that I mean
it had strong academics. But also I wanted a place that wasn’t
focused completely on just your academics. I wanted a place that I would
be able to enjoy myself, to meet new people, to have a diverse experience.
We have such a variety of different
professors here at the Altoona campus. They come from all over the world, all over the
country
They do everything that they possibly can
to help you succeed.
There’s also a unique Penn State pride that a lot of people
acknowledge and are aware of
whenever they either travel through Penn state or they hear about Penn State
and it's something that you meet so many different people from so many different cultures and
backgrounds the you just you can't help but be excited whenever you walk onto the campus because you know
something new is going to happen everyday.
For me, Penn State Altoona offered
a wonderful experience before going to the University Park campus because
it gave me the opportunity to really get to know my professors, and really
delve into my major. I felt that I gained so much knowledge here and so much education
at Penn State Altoona
and for that fact I think that's why I’m doing so well at University Park.
I was ready to make the transition
to University Park
and here I am. I absolutely love it here
I feel like I’ve been able to experience everything that I could possibly want to experience here.
Penn State University as a whole, both Altoona and here, there’s just nothing you can compare it to.
Now that I’m here, I feel very comfortable.
The professors are wonderful here, just as they were at Penn State Altoona.
One nice thing is that that our professors always give us the opportunity
to come into the office if we’re having problems.
It fits very well together for the transition from Penn State Altoona’s classrooms
to these classrooms.
After graduation, which is coming very soon, I would really like to begin
my time in the classroom
and then I would love to attend Penn State once again for graduate school.
I think whatever career or path that you choose, you need to be passionate about it because
that's what you're going to be doing day in, day out.
You really are given the opportunity to explore your passions at Penn State.
My mentor teacher
we’ve already begun working on resumes and getting applications together that I can send out
in the spring.
Putting it all together,
I feel like I’ve really had everything that I could possibly wish for in a college experience.
