a former narcotics officer well and have post live in decided to tell all
let's listen what was your lightbulb moment when you just said
a high base this isn't working for me a couple times
upgraded the hall and %uh ever
to kids in the hall: scared tech price the family
and as for backup %ah searching the house I notice the kids had
straight-a report cards to parents checkbook
was balanced and I realized at something was amiss
something's really bad but I can't quite put it together my cuts really started
work on me
put it together years later after access started smoking pot
and a you know a lot of people were all that
the use that medication helps perks and self reflect
and wow quayle came off then I started doing on real research for my cell
instead leaving a propaganda and I crop for a year
after I found out the truth but I handball
involved in that's really interesting man
so what strikes me most about that is
how this guy has a conscience now look I'm not saying most people don't have a
conscience
but there's been a couple studies that lead me to believe
people will simply play their role and that's it
right so love for example the Stanford Prison Experiment
where some students were prison guards and other students were
prisoners and there's will stay like that for
you know however many weeks n play the role in it was supposed to be an
experiment a psychological experiment to see
a give us a little insight into human nature
and what happen is they have to stop the experiment early
because the prison guards became so route all
and vicious and authoritarian
and like actual prison guards you thought they were who they were and a
prisoner became so passive
and dismissive and like actual prisoners who have a life like seat at my
that it was dangerous so I had to stop it and what that showed you that
if you're part of something you internalize it you become part of it
so your police officer you think you are the law you are the authority in your
own question things you ask him or
existential questions but this guy did and I give him
so much credit for doing that they're really shows something about it
character
and furthermore I love the points that he made about
you know the street name is so hello I saw the kids report cards with straight
A's and I saw they
balance their checkbooks and they're just regular people
and we think about you really are flat-out ruining a person's life
life not even ruining it you're taking a person's life away
they don't have a life anymore if you take away their kids and then put them
in jail
was gonna have a crack *** to come out later and he's gonna be the same not
lot
all and he's amazing he's like look it
here are people who are just people this is no different than
drinking a corona at night while watching cartoons is no different than
taking a few shots of whiskey at the local bar
if you want to relax and smoke some weed there's no moral dimension to it there's
nothing about that
criminal right and honestly there's nothing about that
that even requires treatment right I love how
the debate is should we criminalize inertia we make a treatment
arm in favor with the third way which is
neither it's like alcohol it should be legal
but taxed regulated and that's it and if you do wanna have some treatment centers
for people might get addicted or whatever the case is that's what I'm all
for that
but the majority of which should be completely hands-off from the government
is one my libertarian side comes out and I say you know what prohibition didn't
work for alcohol
think made the problem worse gains popped up there was more violent crime
people die when they drink alcohol because it was cut with
disgusting chemicals that kill them right the same thing is going on with
marijuana legalize it tax and regulate I watched the
black-market dry up watch the violence go away
and watch people get their lives back which is
the right way to go
