Back in our room and now we've got our California closet system installed, we have one panel
that's not painted, that we didn't have a backer board put on, so we can put the wall
color behind it, in front of this will be the TV, which is, I think forty-six inches.
We were careful to measure this out, so we knew, we'd have our cable and our plugs, right
where we needed that, so beware of that. Make sure you have your measurements down, before
you install something on the wall, before you even get your electrician out, have a
good idea of where you need those plugs and that cable run. Otherwise you're going to
have an ugly situation of cables running out in front. When doing these types of things,
these are the rewards, these are the big payoffs, when you're not looking at a bunch of cords
or extensions, cables running throughout. Ashley and Sipriano came and used our tat
cloth and wiped it down, our final construction debris, with our tat cloths, as we discussed
earlier. Our curtains hung up behind us, which we mounted using a metal pole. What we didn't
want, was to have to do a center suspension where we'd get a bow, in the middle, so we've
used a hard metal dowel rod. It's a plumbing part, it's available at any of your hardware
stores, we go the length there too. Sometimes getting this big long length becomes a problem
so go to the plumbing department, find your stronger metal dowels, have them cut. Cutting
them can be tricky. You'll want to make sure you have someone who's got the correct saw,
for that. We've mounted that rod up and we've installed some curtains, that were bought
at Ikea, very inexpensive but we used a lot of them to create mass and some fluidity,
in the room. Some soft edges, in other words. We wanted, always to mix the masculine and
the feminine, so we've got a lot of hard guys stuff going on, in here, and the curtains
are about the wife in the house.
