Syria has missed another deadline to handover its chemical weapons stockpile.
The internationally brokered disarmament agreement is now several weeks behind schedule.
This latest missed deadline also throws into jeopardy the final June 30th deadline for
Syria to completely eliminate its chemical weapons.
Syrian officials blame the civil war for delay and say they are still committed to destroying
the country's arsenal. Syria had already missed a December 31st deadline
to give up its most poisonous chemical agents. Russia says Syria will start shipping more
chemicals out soon, but Western countries believe no further shipments are in the pipeline
at the moment.
