>> If you want to be in on the cutting edge program of the future and have interests in psychology, biology or computer science, Cognitive Science may be for you.
UW Stout offers the only Undergraduate Cognitive Science Program in Wisconsin and is one of the only 28 such programs in the nation.
Career opportunities for undergraduates in Cognitive Science are growing steadily due to the continuous demand, technology and modern day life places on human thinking.
>> What this program is preparing students for is to either go directly into the workplace in a number of different areas or it's going to prepare them well for graduate school.
Since Cognitive Science is so broad and so interdisciplinary, the number of jobs out there are very, very broad.
One of the nice things about Cognitive Science at this school is that it educates people by hands-on experiences and the students can actually develop their own research projects.
>> I really wanted science base because I -- for my future, you know, aspirations, I would like to, you know, go to graduate school and become a clinical neuropsychologist.
>> Cognitive Science is very, very laboratory oriented, so we're sitting inside different laboratories that are all conducting research right now.
>> Majoring in Cognitive Science, we get to -- as when we're, when we're seniors, we actually get to have our own independent research study and that was the main reason why I really picked Cognitive Science was so that I could really specialize and get more, get more research in my background.
>> The reason that is so valuable right now is because the technology is changing dramatically, so it's providing opportunities for even undergraduates to study these phenomenon.
>> This research that they're letting us do is very vital for that program and I know that we will be, we will be very prepared for the next level, compared to other colleges.
