Cyberspace, and the world created by the IT sector, are becoming increasingly relevant
for all. They define international trade, communication,
and the functioning of states affairs yet they also bring along threats and dangers,
too. Well a global conference pertaining to those
pending issues on cyberspace is slated to take place next week here in Seoul, and to
tell us more about what we can expect from the upcoming Seoul Conference on Cyberspace
2013 we are joined by Mr. Choi Sung-joo Ambassador for International Security Affairs.
Thank you for joining us.
Ambassor Choi, this certainly is a huge event with over 1,000 representatives from 90 countries
and international bodies expected to show up. How did this conference make its way to
Seoul?
Capacity building is a new agenda item. Why is equalizing cyberspace capacity between the developed and developing
world so important?
What
do developing nations want to learn?
What can Korea specifically share with the developing world?
What's the most pressing issue right now in cyberspace especially in terms
of security?
Thanks for joining us.
Thank you for having me.
