That said you decided to accept the invitation...
and started working under the premise:
What if we give up being (artists)?
To do so, you counted with the collaboration of three Plastic Artists:
Elena Alonso, José Díaz and Nikita Rodríguez.
Elena develops her work mainly by drawing.
She builds images and objects by introducing shapes and her own methods...
...from other disciplines like architecture, design or do-it-your-self projects.
José understands painting like a process of investigation...
...related to affective processes produced among human being and his environment.
He considers the pictorical surface as a data surface.
Nikita Rodríguez is the heteronym that Cristina uses to argue with social conventions.
She is in love with rarities,
and shows us through her paintings,
drawings, dolls, sculptures or installations.
Both Nikita and Cristina have just became mothers.
You proposed them to replace the exhibition concept of their artistic work...
and the three of them accepted.
Their work would be displayed in a place that was the antithesis of the traditional place of exhibition.
No museums,
no art galleries,
and no foundations...
In conclusion,
nothing like La Casa Encendida.
The chosen places were the entrances of three buildings...
...in different popular neighborhoods in Madrid.
But...
What sense did your trip have?
Wasn't it an evil advertising occurrence...
to show up the taste, sensitivity and knowledge...

You weren't a Publicity agency.
And this was only a MacGuffin.
A hook to detonate a bigger movement:
the abolition of social classes.

STRUGGLE CLASS
La Casa Encendida became like this in a tiny faithful presentation of Basteille Day,
a minuscule tribute to the assault to the Winter Palace of Petrogrado.
But this time it was performed by clowns,
horses, fruits, parrots, calamari and pirate ships.
The result of this process and brief gesture...
is what we normally call a fiction,
also called "the power of the false".
