And since we're just giving you a couple little tips here, I'll give you another one. This
is actually a tip that I got from Terry Seabrooke, from his book, he's long since died, unfortunately,
but he wrote a book called Beyond Compere. I think it was. And this was one of his tips.
Is, if you are backstage and you have a changing area. Often they are not the nicest of conditions.
You get some dusty closet.
In the places you work. Well, yeah, I actually, you know, I don't want to brag but I've worked
some pretty dusty closets. And one of the things that happens, is if you are changing
clothes back in this changing area, when you go to put your pants on, the pant leg drags
on the floor and then it's all dusty. This is a great tip from Terry Seabrooke. Stand
on a chair. You'll look ridiculous, you'll feel ridiculous, but your pants will look
great. Stand on a chair when you are putting on your show pants because that way they don't
drag on the floor. Of course you might want to practice this once or twice. Because if
you are up on the chair and suddenly you realize you have to stand on one leg while putting
your pants on. You lose your balance, your pants are not only going to be dusty but your
leg is going to be broken too. So you might want to rehearse changing on a chair. But
it's just a little tip. You know?
I could just see you rehearsing on a chair, Gina coming home and going "What the...? Close
the windows!" Well, it's actually become kind of a ritual for me now. Every morning I stand
up on a chair to put my clothes on. Regardless. That's special...
