Meow. Before starting your cat cartoons, you need to make sure you have several art supplies
and tools at your disposal. For starters, you're going to need to have a good black
pen. I also like to have a red pen, because actually I'm going to be doing some minimalist
color demonstrations today, which is black and red. For some of our more full color action
cartoons, we're also going to be having some felt tipped markers. Various shades, definitely
have a couple of nice, brilliant warms like yellow, orange, or also warm greens, too,
for eyes. Other common coat colors, brown, gray, and even like a faded blue. We're also
going to have a smudge stick, for when we are also using our pencil to do some of our
pencil cat cartoons. In addition, I'm going to have just more of a straight out black
felt tipped marker, specialized to be able to get for some extra shading outlining. I'm
also going to have a very thin tipped felt marker to make sure that we're able to get
in there for those extra special details where you're really digging in around the crevices
you need to make sure you don't have too fat of an imprint from your pen. At last but certainly
not least, we are also going to be having a series of white pieces of paper, on which
we're going to be creating our cartoons today.
