In this specific video you're going to learn how to upgrade WordPress themes through the
WordPress dashboard.
Now right now I'm looking at the "Themes" section, so go under "Appearance" and "Themes"
and if there is an update for a specific theme, then WordPress is going to tell you right
below that theme.
So as you can see here with the "2011 Theme" it says "there is a new version of 2011 available"
here it is, here's the details and here's how to update it now.
Now I do want to say this, before you do any types of updates, you have to keep in mind
that if you do an update or you switch around themes, you will lose the configurations that
you have made previously to that theme.
So that's just something that you need to be aware of.
It's better to do an update when you've created a WordPress blog from scratch, but once you
have configured it you may not want to update it, otherwise you will lose all the configurations.
So with that said, now that you know, if you're starting out, you want to click "Update",
click "Update Now", click on "Okay".
Make sure this information is correct, click on "Proceed" and that's it, you've updated
it and you can go ahead and customize it, and that's it.
