Hello! This is a brief introduction to Buddhism.
What is Buddhism? Buddhism is a religion taught by Buddha Siddharta, in Japanese called 釈尊 , about 2600 years ago in India.
Buddhism teaches one thing only: how to achieve happiness.
In order to achieve happiness we have to know what happiness is.
Buddhism says that there are 2 kinds of happiness: Relative Happiness and Absolute Happiness.
Relative Happiness is what most people usually consider as happiness:
money, fortune, fame, social status, health, family, youth, etc.
But these things are not real happiness because they don't last,
they don't continue, sooner or later they turn into pain and suffering.
In Buddhism this is called 諸行無常. 諸行 means all things in this world.
無常 means inconstant. 諸行無常 means that all things in this world are inconstant, they don't continue, nothing lasts forever.
