Hey John Crews here and I love showing people new baits. This is the new SPRO Baby Fat John
50. It's a little smaller bait than the original Fat John but it's quite a bit different. The
original Fat John runs down about 4 feet, 3-4 feet deep. This bait only runs 2 feet
deep at most. It's got a very unique fiberglass bill on it, computer chip bill, very unique.
It's got a very unique bill angle. I could not find a crankbait that has this exact same
bill angle, line tie position it's all very unique to achieve one goal, I wanted this
bait to hunt. When I say hunt I mean it's got a great wobble and a great thump and vibration
but it is so wild you can just steady reel it and that bait will go from side to side.
It will veer out a foot- come back to straight- veer out there a foot, come back to straight.
It is really, really unique. If you're fishing other square bill type crank baits and they
were on 3-4 feet deep that might be too deep and you're going to be stirring up all the
leaves and the dirt and mud and stuff off the bottom, you want something to run a little
bit higher but you still want to have that thump of a square bill. That's where this
bait comes in handy. (fish being reeled in) Get in here! (laughter) It works just like
that. Perfect, right here in the back of this pocket- 3+ pounder. Look at that, he ate it
all the way in his mouth. Baby Fat John.
