Hello everyone. This is Pixel Kingdom
and it reminds me an awful lot of Heroes of Might and Magic
in the way it approaches things. It's like a 16-bit retro game
and the idea is you have three lanes.
The monsters attack down three lanes and you have to position your guys across the three
lanes to stop them.
If they get to the other side you take damage. If your guys get to their side,
they take damage.
I've got 10 health points, they've got 100.
I lose one point every time one of their guys gets across, they lose 5 points every time my guys get across.
And the idea obviously is to make sure you stop every
single one of their guys.
You collect these magic points which are then in use to drop in your
various powered up guys. Very similar if you've played the Cartoon Wars style games
Cat Wars as well and some of the others like Samurai versus Zombies
as well. Very very similar thing.
So the idea
get your guys across, stop the enemy from getting across and use your points
wisely certainly as the game gets further in you're not going to just be able to throw
absolutely everything at the screen. You're going to have to take
care as to what you're going to put in each lane, certainly to keep one eye on what the enemy is throwing
at you like these weird tanky things.
The gameplay is absolutely fantastic, the graphics are cute and the retro 16 bit style
is just great.
No slowdowns to be found here, just really really fun gameplay.
Certainly if you haven't given Pixel Kingdom a try it will be well worth it.
It's one of those games where you just find yourself spending hours on the game
but that's not a bad thing because the gameplay is just great.
Go grab Pixel Kingdom, it's up on the Game Store now.
I think it's a couple of quid. No inapp purchases that I could find that would get in my way,
it really just wants me to play the game which is really fantastic.
Battling our way through these guys.
As you can see you have to be quite careful about keeping these lanes topped up all of
the time
otherwise the enemy
will make quite a bit of headway.
Need more power in there.
You can see I'm acquiring coins up here I can use to spend later.
It's starting to get a bit fraught.
You can see it's one of those games you get really engrossed in very very easily.
You can also buy a Mana boost as well which will allow the Mana tick-up to happen
much much quicker. You have to use that quite strategically because obviously it drains quite
a bit of your Mana to .... There you go, level complete.
Just a really fun
quality game on the Google Play Store. You can't go far wrong with Pixel Kingdom.
It's one of those titles you're going to want to grab this weekend.
