hey guys welcome to today's video where I'm gonna share with you the top five
essential tips to transition your skin care routine to winter because
whether we like it or not a winter is coming
ew i'm so not ready as we all know your winter skincare routine is
definitely different than your summer skincare routine you're looking for
those really good exfoliants those deep heavy moisturizers because with winter
the harsh cold air outside and the dry air from the heat inside your skin is
literally gonna be screaming help me so if you're ready to learn my top five
tips to transition your skincare routine to winter keep on watching my first
tip to transition your skincare routine into winter is to switch all of those
cleansers up with oil-based cleansers oil-based cleansers are amazing for the
winter they deeply hydrate the skin at the same time as they cleanse they get
rid of all of those dirt and impurities this is Lipidol body oil cleanser it
retails for under 10 bucks you can get it at the drugstore it's one of the best
body oil cleansers I've ever tried and the price is fantastic so make sure this
winter you're swapping out your foaming cleansers for an oil based cleanser now
my second tip in transitioning your skincare routine into winter is to add
in an emulsion right now I'm using laneige a balancing emulsion that
purifies and balances and infuses the skin with skin protecting mineral water
in the summer time you can use the emulsion as your single moisturizer it
really acts just as a light moisturizer but in the winter this is the time to
layer it up in your skincare routine after your essence after your serum you
want to go ahead and add in your balancing emulsion this is just gonna
add another layer of moisture into your skin and to really help protect it
against the cold air in the dry heat like always I'll have all these products
linked in the description box down below the third tip to transitioning your skin
care routine into winter is all about those dry cracked lips this winter is
all about a chemical exfoliation and right now I'm using the AHA peels so
good peeling gel if you're still using an old
harsh lip scrub like the fabulous by bliss this is like so 2,000 1990s 1980s
lip scrubs are so harsh and so abrasive peeling gels are so gentle but so
effective what you want to do is just take a small pea-sized amount of peeling
gel just on your finger and apply it to the lips about two to three times a week
and you'll see all that dry dead skin start to fall off without using any of
those harsh beads or scrubs the peeling gel is not only more effective than
those scrubs but it leaves your lips looking so
soft and smooth no I found this peeling gel at t.j.maxx for only five bucks you
guys what a great deal the fourth step in transitioning your skincare routine
into the winter is to add in a facial spray right now I'm obsessed with the
Mario Badescu skincare facial spray with aloe herbs and rosewater literally this
facial spray it takes my breath away it smells like roses it's full of fresh
herbs a facial spray is so important in the winter you guys
it keeps maintaining moisture in your skin so easy I love to keep these in my
bag I actually have one in my car one in my bathroom you can just apply the
moisturizer throughout the day get your hydration on it's so much easier than
applying those heavy moisturizers fake sprays can even be applied over makeup
and they'll actually give your makeup a second life and bring you back they'll
give you that glow I'm just obsessed with facial sprays and this one is only
ten dollars ten dollars I'll have it linked down below now my fifth and final
step in transitioning your skincare routine into winter is definitely an
important one and that is adding in an overnight mask right now I'm obsessed
with two overnight masks I love this Boscia tsubaki
deep hydration sleeping mask as well as the Lin edge lip sleeping mask now you
wanna make sure you're adding in an overnight mask because while you sleep
is the perfect time to hydrate rejuvenate and refresh your skin
overnight moisture masks contain a lot more deep hydration than a regular
overnight cream so these are great to use about two or three times a week
especially during the winter to maintain a beautiful skin I promise when you wake
up you will just wake up with a dewy glowing skin and the boscia Tsubaki deep
hydration overnight mask retails for $30 and the laneige sleeping mask retails for
20 bucks and that is my top five tips for transitioning your skincare routine
into winter so make sure you're switching out those foam cleansers to
oil-based cleansers make sure adding in those essences those emulsions make sure
you're exfoliating and sloughing off all that dead dry skin add in those
overnight masks moisture moisture moisture the winter skin care routine is
so much more moisture and so much heavier than a summer skin care routine
