MK Moshe Zalman Feiglin, please
Mr. Chairman, my wife has Parkinson's Disease
Every morning she wakes up
feeds the children with tremendous effort
does acts of kindness with the neighbors and surroundings, encourages people.
Every day for my wife is a huge victory
A huge victory for life under nearly impossible conditions.
But today my wife is terribly upset
because last night on Channel 2
there was a film about a dear Jew named Mati Milo
whose condition was very similar to my wife's
and he decided to end his life.
And in this film on the Uvda TV program
his deed was defined as a victory.
And I ask, is there no limit to populism?
Is there no limit to the need to gain rating at any price?
Do they not understand there at Channel 2 that that deed
can definitely encourage suicides?
They see the triumph in death instead of the triumph in continuing to deal with life.
I request from here
of Channel 2 to screen an additional film
on those people in the same condition who chose life.
And life is their triumph, not death.
