This tutorial is called the "Day & Night" tutorial because I think it's appropriate
for both day and night! I've already primed my eyes with the LORAC eyeshadow primer and
we're going into the Naked 3 palette and starting off by placing STRANGE under the brow and
in the inner corner to lighten things up. I'm using the brush that comes with the Naked
3 palette, which is actually more usable than any other brushes that have come with my Urban
Decay palettes. Then I'm going in with limit in my crease as a transition color. Blending
blending blending! You'll see me randomly look out of my window or to the side because
there were people walking by to get to class. Then I'm taking MAC Fix+ and wetting my Real
Techniques Base Shadow brush and going into Buzz and putting that all over the lid. Buzz
and Trick aren't that pigmented unless you wet the brush before going into your shadows,
so that's what we're doing here. Now we're going into Trick with my still-damp brush
and placing that wherever we placed Buzz. And I'm just adding a little more on the other
eye. Using our Naked 3 brush, I am now adding Factory and a little bit of Darkside to the
outer v area and into the crease. You'll see me go back and forth between my eyes during
this tutorial - I do this often when I do my makeup because it's really hard to get
everything even all at once, so it's easier to go back and forth and even everything out.
Now I'm taking my Sonia Kashuk blending brush and I'm using it clean first to blend out
the darker colors, and then I'm going in with Nooner to further blend everything out and
to help those colors transition. Then I'm going into Strange again and putting that
under the brow. I think that it's really helpful to blend with your lightest color after your
darker colors - it just makes it look even smoother. And again, going into Factory and
Darkside to try to even out both eyes. And going back in with the Sonia Kashuk brush
and blending away! You can see the thoughts going across my mind where I'm just like "Uhhh...I
don't...think...that's even..." and I'm watching it now and I was definitely right, haha. So
again, going back in with Nooner trying to even everything out. I can tell that the left
eye is darker, but the right eye is more blended, so I'm trying to figure out how to get them
even without adding too much color. Now I'm going in with my Rimmel London Scandaleyes
waterproof eyeliner in Black. These are supposed to be waterproof but my eyes get really watery,
so they hold well on the lashline, but not so much on the waterline. Because of this,
I'm taking the flat side of the Naked 3 brush and going into Factory to help set that liner
and blend it out. The reason we're going in with Factory instead of Darkside, is because
the liner itself is already dark, and I don't want to add in more darkness - I just want
to blend out and set the liner. So I'm curling my eyelashes and going in with the Rimmel
London Glam Eyes mascara. Ireally like this mascara because it has bristles with different
lengths...um...lengths? lengths. (that sounds weird when I say it) anyway, you can use the
shorter bristles to make your lashes look thicker, and the longer bristles to make them
look longer and to separate them. I think it's also helpful to use the longer ones mainly
on the top lashes and the shorter ones mainly on the bottom lashes. I'm just doing that
back and forth until I'm happy with it. And I'm looking at my eyeshadow again, haha, and
it's still not completely even, so I'm just adding a little bit more Factory to the outer
v to darken it up. If you wanted to make it more of a nighttime look you could make it
even darker but I think that it works for day or night as is. And it's not over until
the fat lady blends, so that's what I'm doing - just blending everything out one more time.
And there we are! Thanks for watching. :)
