Looks absolutely great!
Quite exciting!
The location in the Prater is also very beautiful.
I think they styled it like an American Campus.
I think it‘s quite pretty.
We had a very
convincing concept.
If we can make this work now,
then we would get this big project approved.
A "window of opportunity" as they say.
To build a new University of Economics (WU)
does not simply mean to put one brick
on top of the other.
In fact building a new WU also means
building a new one here (in your mind).
I believe when all of us
move into this new Campus,
we first have to fill it with the life
this architecture promises.
The Masterplan, in this case, really is a masterpiece,
because on the one hand
it allowed for enough flexibility
for each one of the international architects
to introduce his or her language.
There is some interesting richness
and a kind of a futuristic aspect
and also hope to the future.
All the objects, in the end,
respond to an internal spatial quality
and a fully homogeneous relationship with the exterior.
We wanted the building to be
like a small fragment of a city.
***! What is this coloured building?
Is this an ice cream?
Or am I meant to be seriously studying in there?
In which you need to look in more than one direction
in order to believe in something greater.
A new world, a new density of communication.
A three-dimensional space
which is exciting.
There is no single way to get from A to B on the Campus.
And I think it is this success
that many people who worked so hard,
can be very proud of.
Because something like this doesn´t happen every day.
Great spaces, great infrastructure!
One can’t compare it.
I´m very motivated to study here.
Having a view across Vienna while learning
is great!
We have put a lot of ideas into it.
We tried to realize
something out of a vision.
Certain things, one imagined or the ideas that
were behind them,
in the end actually do work out.
So I hope that
the Campus will manage lot
of what it’s supposed to.
And that it will be accepted quite well by the students.
One more time!
