Hi, my name is Monique and I would love to share with you some knowledge about singing.
Today’s handy hint is about the head register.
So the head register is for the higher pitched notes.
And if we look on a stave the head register starts at F at the top of the treble stave and goes up to B Flat.
So remember, depending on what kind of voice type you have, whether you have a high type of voice or a low type of voice, those notes may vary slightly.
Some examples of some modern contemporary singers who sing in the head register are Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson.
Some male singers would be for example Billy Joel, Queen, Johnny Farnham, Jimmy Barnes.
. In classical music, for example opera, ah the sopranos and the tenors will often use the head register.
Especially a nice high dramatic note if there’s a very important word that they have to sing.
If you have any questions about the head register, where we sing our high notes,
please leave a comment below or if you’d like me to cover a particular topic area let me know.
So remember, your handy hint is, head register, F to B flat and God bless.
