'Twitter' is one of the ad hoc platforms
not only because millions of users
are connected to this social network,
but because there are several TV celebrities,
that make comments, publish pictures
and all this can create
news in the media.
And despite this, lots of the top presenters,
such as Jorge Javier, Mercedes Milá,
Pablo Motos, El Gran Wyoming, don´t have a 'Twitter' account
and they don´t have less popularity,
or less presence on television.
And when we spoke with Jorge Javier Vázquez,
he told us he didn´t have a 'Twitter'account,
because he believed that it would be an excess
when he already has one programme to express himself freely
and also he had seen that some of his programme
or professional colleagues
had difficult experiences because some comments of the twitteros,
too much incisive criticism in some moments.
However, he had also seen,
that in the case of Terelu or Concha García Campoy,
the social network has given them affection, courage.
Right, because as you point out, Laura,
'Twitter' can become into a double-edged sword.
To the celebrities,
lots of their followers and fans can be closer,
but also the criticism, the detractors.
And besides, depending on the use of their 'Twitter'account,
can see that their life becomes more public,
thay can be much more exposed.
For example, Mila Ximénez, due to the huge media pressure
that she has received in the last months,
she decided personally to leave 'Twitter'
and delete her account definitely.
On the other hand,we also have the case of Jordi Gonzá***,
the presenter of 'El Gran Debate' and 'La Noria',
who, after the controversy of 'La Noria',
decided leave 'Twitter' temporarily,
to come back later when
the situation has been calmed down a bit after the controversy.
And it is possible that because of these reasons,
presenters decide increasingly that their twitts,
are more professional, more informative
and in the case of Pablo Motos, he tells us his environment,
that twittea from his official account of 'El Hormiguero'
more than we think. And besides,Pablo
has his 'Facebook'account and thinks it´s not neccesary
to have an account to speak about your personal life
more than he already does in these other social networks.
