Woman: I think it is really important that each person
takes a little bit of an initiative
and does what they can to be sustainable,
whether it's a big thing or a small thing.
Woman: You can be a vegetarian, like me, super cool.
Woman: You can limit what type of meat options we consume.
Nikki is a vegetarian.
Nikki: Yeah, I'm a vegetarian.
Woman: And I only buy local.
Woman: Ride your bike everywhere.
Man: I do the little things that make a difference,
as using a water bottle, not using plastic waters,
wash your bottles and reusing them over and over again.
Nikki: We recycle and I'm doing a booth on geothermal energy,
so I'm trying to explain that to people, and help with that.
Woman: Yeah, trying to reduce how much you drive,
using compact fluorescent light bulbs.
Man: I'm a huge fan of walking.
Man: Ride my bike to all my classes
and I do not drive a car or own a car.
Man: Yeah, when I think of sustainability,
I think Oregon State's one of the top schools of rank.
I mean, if you look at Kelley Engineering Center,
Weatherford, and all the new buildings that they're building,
they're all focused on lead sustainability
and trying to build better practices with the water,
electricity, insulation, everything,
and to help the world a better place.
Man: Oregon State puts in a lot of effort
to make sure that we're being as efficient
and sustainable as possible.
Man: We have campus recycling, Earth Fair,
all these things help make our campus
promote sustainability in the world.
Woman: We only have so many resources.
So, if we want to provide the same benefits
and same lifestyle for our future generations,
like, we need to be conscientious of the environment
and what we're doing to maintain it.
