The Design Studio a wiki-based toolkit drawing together a wide range of assets around
technology-supported curriculum design and delivery.
These include established resources from JISC and its Services, the Higher Education
Academy and other bodies.
It also shares the emergent outputs from the JISC Curriculum Design and Delivery
programmes and seeks to build a community of practice where work in progress is enriched
by peer contribution and collaboration in a blend of private and public spaces.
There is a rich variety of supportive and good practice materials including case studies,
videos, guidance, models and frameworks, pedagogic planning tools and subject-based
resources.
There are three main windows onto resources: processes, challenges and technologies.
Tagging, keyword searching and browsing allows flexible access to assets.
There are context pages within each of the windows which provide an overview of this area
with links to resources in this space.
A range of challenges were identified by projects in the early stages of the programmes and
this provides another route through to resources. Take stakeholder engagement for
example.
Similarly Technologies provides a different picture of the resource landscape.
You can also view the work in progress from the JISC Curriculum Design and Delivery
projects. By using the ‘jisccdd’ tag you can browse all project resources.
So if you are involved in innovating curriculum development in further and higher education
this is the resource for you.
You don’t have to be a registered user to view the resources but if you want to contribute
comments or your own suggestions simply request access from the top right hand area of
the wiki screen.
