Today we will try to answer very often question
How much stuff it is possible to load into tank bag?
We will try it with tank bag "Enduro Max" series (an used one).
It's basic capacity is about 19 litres
And there are three more side pockets.
In the top "map pocket" I usualy have phone, map and for example checks for using highways
Inside, there is pocket for some tourist guides and documents
There is space enough for: snack and drinks (even for two non alcoholic beers ;-) )
...raincoat, sweater
...for a week ride - five t-shirts, underwear, socks...
...and some non-biker shoes.
Side pockets are big enough for tools, little spare parts and first-aid kit
On the other side, there is space for common cosmetics and for ex. even for big and heavy brake disc lock
Last external pocket is practical for stuff, which you want to have quick accessible
...like compact camera with charger, kleenex and another electronics
So as you can see, you can load your 19 litre bag with stuff for a week of travelling
The reduced bag (with one zipper) has inner space about 13 litres
...but can be still too much for one day trip.
So I am using another, smaller "mini tank bag", with the same base.
It has inner space about 7 litres.
There is a pocket for map, phone etc on the top...
...and inside there space enough for complete rainproof overall and drink...
Finally, for owners of sport bikes, who didn't want to use anything on the fuell tank,
...there is an alternative - rear seat bag.
The bag has basic capacity 8 litres, it can be increased to 11 litres and on the top there is a pocket for little stuff, like a phone
FAMSA makes another bag too, with only 4 litres capacity.
It is mounted with five straps, which are long enoug to mount even to back steps construction
It is ideal to mount it directly to tubular frame with included hooks
As you can see on the bottom, there is the rubber surface, so the bag will be stable on any surface
...typicaly on back seats covers of sport bikes.
