Hello, my name is Angela Faiola and today on behalf of Expert Village we are going to
be cooking potatoes au gratin. Remember our 5 tablespoons of butter well the extra butter
we are going to be using this amount about 2 spoons. We are going to take our chopped
onions and we are going to saute them in a pan that we have preheated already. I'm just
going to put those onions in. You want to add a little bit of salt and if you want I
always like to have a little bit of ground pepper and just get them cooking a little
bit. The reason that we do that this is just to get that onion cooked a little bit more
cause we sliced those potatoes so thinly. We want the cooking to be fast. We don't have
that much time for women to be in the kitchen. Women, wait a minute men to right. So cut
those potatoes the slices really thinly and you want to precook your onion slices so that
everything would cook faster once it is in the oven.
