Hello. This video is on how to make middles eastern staple appetizer, Hummus.
Hummus's nuttiness will come from Tahini, which is a hulled sesame paste.
Of course, you can't forget the Extra *** Olive Oil.
Next, we will need some greek yogurt.
Then, we will need some cooked garbanzo beans (chickpea). Hummus actually means "garbanzo beans" in Arabic.
First, we are going to add the beans, lemon juice, garlic, tahini, salt, and cayenne pepper(optional) to the food processor.
Hummus should be a little tangy, and has a nice garlic flavor.(adjust amount of garlic and cayenne pepper to your taste)
If can't get tahini, substitute with equal amount of peanut butter or sunflower seed butter.
Now, blend until everything is nice and smooth.
When everything is smooth, add yogurt and mix well.
Adjust seasoning with salt and lemon juice.
Time for decoration. I will serve it this way.
You can decorate it any way you want, but don't forget to drizzle over a healthy amount of olive oil on top. Even top it with spiced meat.
This is usually eaten with some flat bread.
