What are you going to cook for us today? Chamaku Potlalu
Ingredients required for Chamaku Potlalu
Taro Leaves, Gram Flour, Cumin Seeds, Mustard Seeds, Curry Leaves, Coriander Leaves, Ginger Garlic Paste, Salt, Red Chilli Powder & Oil
Heat some oil in a pan
Add some cumin seeds & mustard seeds into the pan
Add some ginger garlic paste into the pan & mix well
Add some curry leaves & coriander leaves into the pan
Add half cup of gram flour into the pan & mix well
Fry them until the gram flour turns into golden brown in colour
Add some salt and red chilli powder into the pan & mix well
Add some water into the pan & mix well
Close the pan with a lid & let it cook for a while
Take some taro leaves, remove the stem on the backside of leaves leaving a thin long string attached to it
We can also use thread to tie the leaves
Let the cooked gram flour mix cool for a while
Now add the cooked gram flour mix into the taro leaf, fold the leaf from all four sides & tie it up with the string
Heat some oil in a pan
Add the prepared taro leaf wraps into the pan
Fry them well on both sides
Cover the pan with a lid & let it cook for 2 minutes
Fry the taro leaf wraps until they turn into brownish in colour
Remove the fried taro leaf wraps into a serving plate
