And one of the other things you want to be thinking about when you're choosing just value
of color, you want to think about having variations in the value. Again, when you're working with
pieces, you want to make sure that you're having different scale of value in order to
achieve highlights and shadow effects, such as you would if you were using paint itself.
So when I'm going through and I'm choosing the color palettes that I want to use, I'm
looking at things that have gradation value that shifts and changes because I may want
to cut out a specific area such as in here that goes from dark to light. Again, same
type of thing inside of here where the value shifts in tone almost more than it does in
just a value in highlight. But these are the things you want to be thinking about when
you're looking through because instead of having just one solid area of color, it doesn't
necessarily present any value shift. You want to kind of have a variety of things to use
that have value shift in order to create a more realistic effect.
