Hey Everyone, Adam Shaw here from Bravura Media Company. Today we have a world map that
was produced in 1689 and as you can see it is in almost perfect condition. So lets take
a quick look and see the different details of this map. If we zoom in we can see all
the different continents. We can even see the artistic detail that go around the globes.
Look at, it's almost as if a painting. Look at that armies, warfare, look at that, that's
great. Looking at the map we have Europe, we can zoom in even further. You can see it
labeled, Italy, Rome, right there. You can see Madrid labeled. Moscovia. Here is England
and the British Isles. Norv, oh wow, lots of text crammed into there. We can zoom out,
we see the Americas, as you can see the northwestern part has not been discovered yet. The eastern
part has. Virginia, labeled right there. Look at that, that's pretty amazing. You have South
America right here. That's pretty cool. It's just amazing how they put together these maps
without any satellites or any technology. I mean they did this all visually from boats,
just traveling along. It's pretty impressive I would say! You know they mapped everything,
longitude, latitude, everything. They even knew what an equator was. Really, really smart
people that went into map making and did this. Look at the labeling of all the different
areas, the mountain ranges in Africa. Pretty awesome. And even the artwork that goes around
the globes, very interesting. I'm not sure what they wanted to represent back in 1689
but definitely tells a story of some sort. This world map also has a look from the tops
and bottoms of the globes which I think is pretty cool. This is obviously the bottom.
You see a little peak of, of a South America, right here. Antarctica I guess you know is
too cold, they couldn't make it all the way down there but you don't get to see anything
1689 that's okay. They'll just discover it later. Nothing reported on the bottom half
of that globe. We go to the northern part, we can see Russia defined right here, different
areas. America, Canadian area. Pretty, an awesome map I would say. So, we at Bravura
