“Hey Father, I used to be Catholic, but somehow I just drifted away from mass, from
church, and I miss it.” The person…the person who began this conversation with me
continued, “I used to be a part of the Church, I used to go to mass, and I miss not being
a part of the whole thing.” You know sometimes we get so busy, we can get so caught up in
life and all the things going on, that we drift away. Or maybe we feel we have good
reason to have stepped aside. I’m Archbishop Donald Wuerl of the Archdiocese of Washington,
and I sometimes hear voices like this. If this sounds a lot like you or someone you
know, I ask you to think about coming back – coming back to your spiritual home, coming
back to mass, coming back to the Catholic Church, coming back to that spiritual home
that’s yours. No matter what the reason that might have kept you from mass, I invite
you all over again to experience…to experience your faith, to experience the love of God,
to experience mass, to experience again your…your Catholic home. And this…this is a personal
invitation to you to come and to join us. To learn more about this, visit maybe-its-God.org.
That’s maybe-its-God.org. You won’t be sorry. Thank you.
