So guys, X Factor stars here, and you're at the X Factor musical. You must be pretty happy
to be here tonight.
Chuffed.
It's amazing. It's amazing to get invited to this, and we love musicals so it's going
to be a really exciting night for us. Yeah, it's really cool.
And I hear Simon Cowell gets a pretty good grilling in this musical.
-I've seen it. -Oh you've seen it?
He does. He does.
I mean, do you think he deserves it or not?
-Simon... -He's such a big character, isn't he?
But he's got a big, you know... He's got big balls, so I think he can take it. I don't
know that he's got big balls, but in he's a firm, strong independent man.
Okay stop. He's firm...
You know what I mean. So he's got a big heart. I don't know where I'm going with this. Someone
going to help me there or just look at me?
I think big balls, big heart. You know, great point there. Now guys, let's just say there's
going to be a musical made about Union J. Who would play you in your musical about your life?
Any actor. Anyone you could pick.
-Like dream actor? -Dream actor. A-list.
I'd like Leonardo DiCaprio to play me. Just because he is just, good luck trying to be
as boring as me, but still... He's a good guy so...
Yeah, I can see that. I can see that happening.
I don't know. Probably Johnny Depp just because I love him as an actor.
I think Mark Wahlberg, you know. Mark Wahlberg.
Yeah, he's a hunk.
-Very cool guy. I'd have to... -Have you got the guns though? That's the question.
No, that's the thing. Either he'll have to lose weight or I'll have to put on weight so, one of them.
Beyonce.
Beyonce?!
I mean, she could have some sort of hairdo.
That's got a few issues, that one.
And let's talk songs. Theme tune to your life. You can't pick one of your songs, even though
your songs are awesome. What would be the theme tune?
-What's that song? -We are the cheeky girls.
Always look on the bright side of life.
Always look on the bright side of life. Doo doo, doo doo, doo doo doo doo doo.
So second album. This is exciting. What's it going to be like? I hear it's a Little
Mix-Taylor Swift kind of vibe.
We're definitely changing direction this time, like we've moved to a new label, so we've
got a fresh start and we kind of like... We want to make our music a lot more international
because that's the plan this year, to go to the States and Europe and our music was very
British before, but we've got to cater to our other fans outside the UK. So we're super
excited. We're writing this album as well, working with top producers in LA, so we're
ramping it up.
They're really, really good, and we're really excited to just get in the studio and record now, so yeah.
Guys, have you worked with any names that we would all recognise?
Do you know what? We haven't actually worked with any names at the moment. We've only just
been writing a few songs between us. But we've got a meeting tomorrow with our new label,
and they're going to tell us some dates to book in. So hopefully...
Dr. Luke's on the line.
Dr. Luke's on the line. I think people like that, so we can't really reveal too much at
the moment, but it's exciting.
X Factor. Cheryl's making her return. Talk about that.
I'm like fangirling. I'm just gutted we did it two years ago.
-Is Sharon doing it? -We don't know yet. We don't know yet.
Because surely that would be the original line up.
Jaymi's like literally the geekiest person at X Factor. You can tell him anything, and
he'll know. Who was the winner in 2007?
2007 was Leon Jackson.
Woah! You're the man.
-Who came second? -Rhydian
See? That's amazing, isn't it?
So the fourth spot's open. Who would you like to see?
-Rihanna. -I think we should do a week each.
-We should do a week each. -That'd be good.
Like rotation with Union J.
Guest judges? I could see that.
And you and your partner I hear are doing some advertising coming. Can you tell us a
bit more about that?
Yeah, me and Olly have just done Moss Bros for the same-sex marriage, and it's going
to be the first same-sex marriage couple to be like modelling for the brand, so it's a
great thing, especially this week with gay marriage being legalised. It's a monumental
thing, so I'm chuffed to be part of it.
Can you tell us how you got involved in that?
Yeah, basically obviously we're getting married. We're planning our wedding and Attitude Magazine
did their love and marriage issue to celebrate gay marriage being legalised, and then Moss
Bros contacted us and said, "We'd really love you two to face up the campaign." And we said
yes, so it's great.
And the picture of him and his partner are the screensaver on my phone.
Oh, I love it!
Yes, they are.
And will you be having three best men?
Well, my brother is my best man.
-What?! -Well...
But I've not got enough bridesmaids, so I think I might put them in some dresses.
-You up for that boys? -Can I be a flower girl?
-What about stag do plans? -Hen night.
I'm not planning it... Hen night.
Are you guys going to get involved in the planning?
Definitely. Yeah. I'm a bit scared though.
I'm scared too. I'm scared he'll be judgemental and everything. Like no, he wouldn't like that.
-Any venues right now? -Royal Albert Hall.
Buckingham Palace. That was on the list.
Windsor Castle, maybe. Just kind of those cheap venues.
And one last question, JJ, your little one. Are you planning any playdates with baby Eric?
Um, yeah yeah. Hopefully.
JJ is. Simon doesn't know.
Simon, we're going to sort something out tonight. It's official. Tonight is going to be the
night we sort something out.
How is it being a dad? Are you loving it?
Amazing, yeah. It's incredible. It's a blessing. it's amazing, so yeah. Really cool.
Have you had the wee yet?
I actually have and the poo.
If you've ever got nasal problems, it's brilliant. That's what I smell every time before I go on stage.
If I've ever got a cold.
Thanks guys. Enjoy it. See you later.
