dances to karate demonstrations. For military children, this is a chance for them to understand
countries that not many other kids get to see…

with other students, and as they become adults, a better understanding of people around the
world.

Groups and clubs from off-base came to teach how to put on a kimono, pound mochi, and participate
in festival dances. Students even watched an energetic taiko performance…

Well, I’d say it’s the most wonderful way to learn. We have the community, the learning
community, from off-base and on-base all coming together sharing food, their cultures, understanding
and all kinds of programming where the students are actually interactive as they learn.
