Hello, there.
So there was this guy that just got thrown into prison for eighteen weeks
because he'd made inappropriate remarks on
the tribute pages of dead girls who'd been suffering bullying, problems like that.
Now, yesterday I was talking about trolling and
how the use of the term 'fake and gay' became quite annoying
but this is trolling on a whole new level.
This is trolling that's gone way too far.
You know...
...it just makes you wonder:
Where exactly is too far?
Should people be allowed to have the right to freedom of speech or should we really be drawing the line somewhere?
Because on websites like Sickipedia, there is nowhere to draw the line. You can make jokes
as ruthless and as offensive as you like, without censure.
However, this particular chap
has just been sentenced to eighteen weeks in prison
and has been banned from using social networking websites for five years
on a charge of malicious communications.
He made, er...inappropriate remarks on Facebook pages and, er...equally inappropriate YouTube videos.
Quite sick
but then it all depends on what your idea of a joke is.
Personally, considering what I've just read, I don't think that would be funny at all...
...but seriously, when it comes to telling jokes,
you have to know when to draw the line because there are people out there that will get offended
if you keep repeating the same...the jokes of this nature to them over and over again.
These people do know people, you know...
...and they may know somebody of a particular group that you're targeting
with your joke, which is rather tasteless
and probably not good enough to justify the fact that you've just taken the mickey out of them.
So, in summary,
do carry on telling jokes and do carry on trolling pages if you wish to -
although I would personally not recommend it -
however, you do need to know when to draw the line...
...otherwise, you could find yourself in pretty serious trouble.
I mean, there was this girl who just committed suicide,
letting her being run over by a train,
being driven to this by various acts of bullying...
...and this chap commented on this Facebook page and he literally just rubbed it in.
How low can you sink?
Not much lower than that.
Not much lower than that.
Goodnight, crowd of none.
