Frog week stands for freshman recruit orientation group
the purpose of frog week is to accumulate
military freshmen students to our campus
to introduced them to the chain of command.
to help them move from civilian lifestyle to a military lifestyle
and above all to get them ready for the academic semester that will begin
immediately after frog week is over
look at winskie here he has been beefing up all summer

you got to bring the sheets to this edge of the bed you got to pull it
the rest of the excess will be hanging off the bed
it starts now it starts at frog week
first impresses me everything right, yes sir
the leaders here
run the corps of cadets they run forg week so our cadets leaders are
responsible for training close to two hundred fifty incoming freshmen
and twenty four seven for five days putting them through all the training
that they experience and all the indoctrination into the military program
here, sargents major take charge of your units march them to chow get them to hoag by 1745. you will keep you fingers curled you
will not make them stick out, curled by your side moving with you do you understand that frogs
yes sargent
lets go
i just left my wallet in, i just walked in the room what do you say
oh my this is intense right now
when i say order arms go straight down don't go around.
go straight down do you understand, yes sargent, order arms
perfect
the incident
who's the best company, foxtrot
dont move for a second
5 shots
and the final event will be the fugaty challenge
simulating carrying wounded soldiers yeah
and fire men carry them back, your going to be smoked you need to be drinking water
when we do these beast events, were not leaving anything off of this drill field
you give it all you got, cause that's what foxtrots all about
come on you can do it
the first time i participated in frog week my role was very minimal
and there wasn't much management for me to do because i was academic staff
i was the academic nco
second time i was a first sargent so that was more of an execution phase and
my dealing directly with the cadets the troops so to speak
where as now its large scale for me
managing a couple hundred people all it once to include a staff
ability to influence others and give them to follow suit after you it's
it's a good feeling you get a lot of personal development of it because you
do make mistakes
i have made mistakes before in my leadership style is generally a harsher one
and i've learned a lot from that and its taught me
it's people skills for lack of a better term
If anyone is wearing glasses, i cant tell you dont wear them just
be aware that they might break
with frog week we have a military adviser that's going around with us making sure we are safe
the commandant tries to get 6 or 7
alumni
each frog week to serve as what we call observers controllers and their
responsibility is to just shadow the company and make sure that the training
stays safe
that it feels conducted professionally and we also act as
mentors to the cadre for that company
and try and help them develop and learn frog week
the young man a woman who makes the
choice to come to the corps of cadets needs to be motivated and read to learn our
traditions
hurry up frogs
keep walking way to go
hey whats your name nick bava
fisher
what company you in echo how about yall foxtrot
commanders take charge get them out to their first station
your going to have ten minutes to get your people up and
over the other side of the wall
i think the squad leaders get the most fun out of frog week
they get the most interaction
with the frogs so they actually get to see
well this is what the frogs actually like, get to see the bounds that are built
cheer each other on, fist bumps chest bumps
bust through this course like it was nothing
pop up look at the bunker drop down grab a grenade and throw
get down, come on estrada lets go
i wanna see you get muddy hooah
you got it good job
this is not a mickey mouse exercised this is a rigorous training exercise
and at the end of the five and one half-day event
everybody is on common ground
and they are bounded with their fellow frogs for the rest of their school carrier if not for
their entire life
morning Sargent cant smoke a rock
out of the most hated NCOS who thinks that
sargent miller is the most hated
sargent wetstone
sargent fisk
sargent hudson
yes!
you can see the frogs are really starting
to bound and get to know each other
not every student in america gets to come to a training facility like this
and if you go on to pursue a military carrier and you wanna go to
ranger school you're going to come here for one part of that school
but make sure today you have
fun
and most of all you get over your fear of heights
that's why we're doing this for you
we wanna build your self confidence
and get over little fear that you have thats nothing other then over coming your
fear when you repeal
not to worried about it. its pretty fun actually
i yelled so much i woke up the next morning and i got no voice
hang on to that rail
standby
have you ever repelled before
yes sir
this is going to be your break hand
going to be in your small of your back, how ever tight you squeeze will dictate how fast or how slow you go

left right left dont stop breathing
you are going to make it
you are going to make it
share the love of reeses he has chocolate covered
alright future frogs right here keep it
there out-standing
of a frog it's a huge since of accomplishment
it's an opportunity where they have been through
a grueling five-day exercise on which they were mentally and physically
challenged
answer from their perspective it's a uh... you have a sense of elation
because of the accomplishment that they did all the team building that
occurred
and strong bounds that were developed with their froggy buddies
there he is, i did i found him
proud of all these guys really have seen a lot of change, looking forward to a good year with them
they have done a great job and we are fortunate to have this many frogs
