According to Swedenborg, in the afterlife, you're going to be able to go: Man, I'm having
such a good day today. Oh, you want to know how it feels? Feels pretty cool, huh?" Sharing
feelings. It's certainly something that people think about. We say stuff like: 'I wish you
could know what this feels like" "you had to be there" "I just want you to know how
I feel" So we can communicate our feelings to each other to some extent, but in the life
after death, you can actually give someone the exact feeling that you're feeling. One
person can literally give a whole group the exact joy they have. And the deal is, if we
put in the work to grow as people, to push aside selfishness or needing to be the best,
the "love your neighbor as yourself" thing can actually come true, the primary joy in
our lives can be to share anything good we have with others, and in that case, this is
a massive win-win scenario. And a secret: this is already happening for us. The love
and the good feelings we have are God's and God is passing them along to us, in the same
way, and for the same reasons.
