Have you ever wondered what the people in your business are doing for your bottom line?
I went out for coffee the other day I went to a coffee shop I haven't been to
for ages There's a reason why I haven't been for ages
The Manager who was there used to shout at the staff, shout down the telephone and ***
and rattle the cups And I decided (along with a lot of other people)
that I'd take my coffee somewhere quieter My feet found my way to my favourite coffee
shop after a long gap.
Somehow they thought it was time to go back. There was a new Manager there who was charming
and polite And very quickly I went back to my favourite
coffee shop and took a friend with me. Sitting drinking my coffee, I was thinking.
How much did that cost the people who run the coffee shop?
Let's say I spend £5 a week on coffee and buns and things like that.
I've not been going for 4 years but let's say over that time that's about 100 weeks
That's £500 I very rarely drink coffee on my own
So let's assume I took a friend with me That's £1,000
And do you now what? The scary thing is... the new and charming Manager said to me, when
I asked, "Lots of people have said they stopped coming
here because the old Manager was really noisy". How much is someone like that costing our
business?
