Welcome to Can You Etch It, the web's first laser engraving series that specializes in
laser engraving strange, unique, and even common items. This is Alan Reeves with Book

This time I'm creating a picture frame from mat board.
Pictures are a very important part of life. They hold the key to remembering the good
times and the bad times. They help us celebrate and heal. They allows us to share the special
momemts in our lives with others who were not there. If pictures are so special to us,
why would we put them in ordinary frames?
Picture frames come in all shapes, sizes, and cost. They can be as simple as popcicle
sticks glued together or as ornate as hand carved and guilded wood. Regardless of the
material, they often come in two basic shapes; rectangle and oval. Both are great shapes
but there are times when neither shape will do. In those times, laser engraving is a great
solution.
With laser engraving and a little bit mat board, a great picture frame can be created.
The design selected today was from a request by my wife to include a wolf. The resulting
area for the picture is round but the overall frame is very unique.
Imagine what your favorite vacation photo would look like in a custom designed and personalized
frame. The frame could feature the date, who was with you on vacation, and other symbols
of the great time you had. Something as simple as a picture frame can tell a great story.
