Let's make stuffed nectarines with dried nuts.
This is a very healthy and energy booster dessert. It is also a characteristic recipe of the monastic cuisine of Mouth Athos.
Crush the almonds, the peanuts and the walnuts in a mortar.
Dried nuts, mostly almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts and peanuts,
belong to a category of food, that supplies our body with energy and essential nutrients.
A small quantity of dried nuts, offers our body enormous energy.
Roast the dried nuts in a frying pan by stirring them, so they don’t burn.
Pour in the saffron-enriched tsipouro. Tsipouro is the traditional Greek grape distillate.
Add the honey and the raisins and allow the mixture to boil while stirring.
In the past, raisins constituted a basic diet element for the ancient Greeks,
who believed that raisins possessed magic powers and other beneficial properties.
Slit the nectarines in the middle, using a knife, and stuff them with the dried nut filling you have just prepared.
The stuffed nectarines are ready.
Serve as a dessert or as a treat.
