In Matthew 9:37 Jesus said: "The harvest is great, but the workers are few."
As true as it was in the first century.
Today in our modern age, this statement continues to prove true.
In the United States alone, there are over 380 congregations
that cannot compete their territory on a regular basis.
And over 160 territories, which are not assigned to any congregation at all.
As a result our organization has established an avenue to cover
seldom worked or unassigned territories.
Through this wonderful arrangement, the few that Jesus spoke of, are able to cover the great harvest
and finish the assignment that our first century brothers started.
The blessings of this assignment far outweigh the any sacrifices.
Many who have shared in this arrangement have,
as a result, experienced joy, progressed in their ministry,
and above all, drew closer to Jehovah and their brothers and sisters.
Watch as one congregation takes part
in this spiritually upbuilding and very enjoyable experience in:
Working the Great Harvest
Understandably, this type of assignment may sound overwhelming at first.
But suppose you've got enough willpower to start your own group.
What would you need to do?
DERRICK: If you want to take the lead, you would have to have the meeting, get everything together.
A captain is just basically going to be the go between through the branch, the congregation, and
and everybody else in the congregation that we will be assisting, and everyone at the home congregation.
They'll make all the accommodations they would do all the leg work.
So, if you're good with leg work or you don't mind doing leg work, it shouldn't be a problem at all.
Once you recieve the letter from the branch,
it's very detailed on how you go about handling specific parts as the captain.
In fact, the captain will have to send a report at the end of their trip to the branch.
How many hours, how many publications and these types of things.
Shortly thereafter an announcement is made at the next meeting.
And on a special note, as some of you may already know, our congregation is planning to go on unassigned territory.
And all of you that are interested, we're going to have A short meeting in the back room about 15 min after tonights meeting...
But how many days is the assignment? Is it really far? And how do you prepare for it?
All these questions can be answered at these brief meetings.
Well, we'd like to welcome all of you to our first meeting for seldom worked territory.
We realize that many of you have questions and are not sure what to expect.
But first, before you ask any questions, I'd like to find out a few things...
If you attend these meetings, does it mean you're automatically committed to the trip?
Well, many publishers may feel that going to these meetings mean that they're locked in and they can't really back out.
But that's not true at all.
Basically, the purpose of these meetings is to get information about the assignment,
and get answers to any of the questions that a person may have about the assignment.
Okay, sister Baptist. - How big is the territory up there?
Well, there's about a two hour drive from one end of the territory to the other end of the territory.
But we're mainly going to focus on the area that's closest to the Kingdom Hall.
What's on the agenda for the first meeting?
In the beginning, at our very first meeting, when we sit down, we determine where we want to go based on the list.
Then we determine how far we would like to go.
And it gives us an opportunity to pick 3 places. Our first, second and third choice.
And that determines how far we want to go.
So, whatever we as a group decide to do, then the captain will fill that out and then resubmit it.
But the branch will determine, out of those 3 that we've chose, which one is available.
Because it could be that another congregation submitted the same area and that is not available.
So they will determine... not necessarily how far we go, but where we go.
Finally, the day came to make the drive out to the assigned territory.
Some joined the group from a nearby congregation.
Some flew in all the way from California.
But everyone is excited for the long trip ahead.
They make sure everything is packed, hoping that nothing is forgotten.
The trip that we took there to... It was a small town in South Carolina. It was close to Clemson.
Clemson University was the big thing there. So, we actually stayed there in Clemson.
It was approximately... maybe about 500-600 miles.
And it took us anywhere from maybe... 9 and a half to 10 hours.
Depending upon how fast we drove or what was going on in the car.
Each time we take these trips, it's an opportunity for us to talk as families.
This particular time, we had an opportunity to have someone trail us.
And so we stopped at a few places, we got food. So, it was a very nice, pleasant trip up.
We looked forward to doing it.
Some decided to drive by themselves.
Others followed each other.
Nevertheless, after an exciting 9 hour drive from St. Petersburg, Florida
To a little town called Liberty near Clemson, South Carolina.
All the publishers met together at one central location--the hotel.
The day before the assignment, that afternoon or that evening, all of the friends started coming into the motel.
And so, we were already checked in, we went downstairs and we saw the friends coming up.
And we had an opportunity to look at their faces and see how excited they were.
Everybody was eager to get ready.
Some of them, it was their first opportunity in seldom worked... So, they were excited about it.
Some were a little apprehensive. But you could still tell the excitement on their face--we finally made it.
Some of them... It was a long drive, They were cramped in a car. You know, packed in like sardines, so to speak.
But were happy to get out and stretch. Perhaps get a shower, get something to eat.
It was nice seeing everyone, get there on time, ready for the assignment.
The first day was no different from any other day.
They all met with the congregation at the Kingdom Hall.
Where they made territory arrangements, setup car groups and met the local brothers and sisters.
JOHN: A lot of love from the brothers and sisters up here. And they surely need the help.
JACKIE: Working in car groups for a long period of time... You get to know the friends really fast!
Usually, back home you're in the car group for about, maybe a couple of minutes. And then you're out in the territory talking to people.
So, you probably have maybe 10 minutes worth of conversation with that brother or sister.
But here... you get to have long conversations, as well as, going door to door.
But you really get to know the person more.
CHRIS: It was fun associating with the other congregations,
and working with our brothers and sisters and seeing how people react in the ministry.
What was the ministry like?
[Laughter] She has a rash, she has a rash!...
- Hi! - Good morning.
Hi! My name is Jackie. What's your name? - David.
David, nice to meat you! This is my friend Lisa.
- How's it going? - Good.
I'm from California and we're new to your area.
But we were just talking to some of your neighbors.
And noticing that everyone has somewhat of an interest in the Bible.
Are you much of a Bible reader? - Yeah. I'm actually a pastor in the area.
- Oh, cool, alright. It's great to find someone that has that interest and enjoys teaching others.
- Hi. - Hello.
My name is Darrian and I'm from Florida. And this is my dad.
We're talking with our neighbors...
It says: "Do you believe that Jesus walked the earth?"
A lot of people have questions about that... They have questions for other readers who read this...
And have questions about that... So, I'd like to leave this with you. And I'd like to leave with you another article.
Alright, thank you sir!
DAVID: We could be seeing the beginning of the French congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Clemson. - Liberty!
This might be the birth of a Haitian French congregation in Clemson.
And Shella was the beginning of the...
SHELLA: I would like to move here! And maybe that's why Jehovah sent us here... You never know!
Because she told me there are groups of more Haitians in Henderson. And they even have a church...
And then I'll learn Haitian-Creole. And become an elder in the French congregation.
Then me and my wife will have a child, and they'll grow off and they'll be missionaries in Africa
and speak the French language and start a congregation out there.
My goodness, he said it all. ...I ran out of words.
But the people were very nice. They were so kind!
One of the... the daughter didn't like the country part of it.
But the mother, she's happy here. She said, besides her, there's one more family in Liberty.
But there are a lot more people in Henderson. So, what I'm going to do is yellow slip her.
And then the Society will send a lot of the friends that are either in Jacksonville to her.
Or the friends in North Carolina near Charlotte.
And they'll start... Who knows?... It was good that we came here.
And I'm going to see if maybe before we leave to start a study.
I left her the Require brochure! Isn't that good?
This is my son Chris. And I'm Terril. We're the Brown's.
We're visiting some friends of ours from St. Petersburg, Florida.
We just wanted to come out and talk to your neighbors a little bit.
And we're talking to them about something that really fits in with what you're saying.
It's about sickness! We're asking people...
TERRIL: We just had a wonderful experience! The gentleman listened patiently. And he had some questions.
He leveled with us and asked us...
Really as a Baptist, we know there's differences between Jehovah's Witnesses and the Baptists.
I was able to intervene and say that I was Baptist and I understand the differences.
And one of the differences is that we believe that 144,000 according to the Bible go to heaven. Whereas he believes that all go to heaven.
I got to share some scriptures with him. He listened. And the way that it ended was...
He said that Jehovah's Witnesses are always welcome to his house.
He apologized for all of the Baptists in South Carolina.
He thinks that they don't treat people, particularly Jehovah's Witnesses, well.
He even told us an experience that happened here in South Carolina.
Where a Witness left a brochure with one of the Baptists in his congregation.
And right in front of the Witness, they took fire and burned the brochure right in his face.
Threw it down and said: "We're Baptist!"
He said that he believes that type of attitude is giving a bad reputation to the Baptists.
We told him that we recognized that there's good people in the Baptist faith, that's why we're talking to them.
And we really encouraged him to study the Bible, remember that Jehovah is looking for modest people,
who are willing to accept the truth when it is presented to them.
And if they do that then we know that one day we'll all end up in the same organization.
After working hard in the territory. Meeting the local people and even starting some Bible studies on the first day.
The time finally came to get a break for lunch.
DERRICK: Normally, when we met for the meeting for service, we broke off into particular groups.
We had different car groups we were assigned to go to different territories.
But we all made it a point, all 8 or 9 car groups that we had, that we meet at a particular area.
Normally it was at a park, it would be at noon. And we'd break.
We either packed a lunch, go and get something.
And sitting there, all the friends, even the local friends there in our home congregation. We had an opportunity to talk.
It's amazing that you travel so far away just to work with some of the friends.
And you're right here in your home congregation, and don't get an opportunity to do that.
And even some of the things that they say over lunch. It was just a wonderful atmosphere.
Everybody truly enjoyed lunch!
[Background chatter] Unbelievable. Oh! [Laughter]
I dare you to wear it out in service! [Laughter]
DENIS: Well, since for me it's not my first time. I've been to other unassigned territory.
But also though, it's not the same. Every time is different.
Last time I was in unassigned territory... It was rolling fields of corn and it was a whole different scene.
But one thing that's the same is the love.
And if you've never been to bethel, that's one thing that unassigned territory will give you, that you would also get from bethel.
Brothers from no matter where they are, is that they all have the same genuine kind of love. And it is so refreshing.
And it's something... I mean, for your own health, spiritual health... You might want to make it a mandatory thing for you and your family to do.
YVONNE: I really enjoyed meeting the friends and getting to know the friends we were with.
I feel like it's a really upbuilding experience and I'd like to recommend it to anyone who can do it.
DJ: Well, the association at lunch everybody is all happy because you're eating.
Have a chance to sit down in the shade, just all happy being with each other and having lunch.
Just hanging around each other after having service, encouraging...
You get to talk about how you were doing in the door to door and having fun.
You get to talk about what you learned about other brothers.
Just pretty much having fun, that's the thing about it.
SHELLA: Every time we go on unassigned territory we get to really appreciate... Jehovah's people are loving everywhere we are.
And as a group, we drew closer to one another.
And I wish that this wouldn't end. Because it really helps us to appreciate how it will be in the new system.
DERRICK: And after lunch, we packed everything back up and we headed back in the ministry.
It's very enjoyable, we look forward to lunch as well as the afternoon session of the ministry.
After lunch and enjoying each other's company, some decided to call it a day.
Long day, but it's over now and I feel good. - He is! He's famous.
While others decided to go out a little longer. Why did they go longer?
NIKO: The reason we went to service after lunch was because we were rejuvenated. We had our sandwiches...
We had nothing bothering us and we wanted to get that feeling again of going out in service and having the people actually listen to us.
And that's just the most wonderful feeling in the world.
DERRICK: When we all get together at lunch time we have an opportunity to see how our morning went, Or how or afternoon went.
Perhaps we have a return visit we want to setup, because right after lunch I had this interesting call,
or this person was overly excited at the door.
We're not used to talking to people long. We go through our normal little script here in Florida.
But when we're there in South Carolina, we had to go further.
You're used to hearing: "I'm not interested. "
Well, while you finish your presentation, the householder... still they're waiting. So, you have to keep going on.
And so some of us had some wonderful expressions.
And so they... during lunch time, had an opportunity to let us know what went on in their ministry.
Some had excellent experiences.
DAVID: The woman lost her husband, her house...
SHELLA: And her son was on his way down from Pennsylvania.
As soon as we got there, she said: "Do you have any pamphlets? Just give me a..."
Because she knew we were Jehovah's Witnesses.
And so she asked us for literature and so I had the Bible Teach book.
And I shared with her 1 Peter 5:7 on how God cares.
She was very appreciative, because we read it and she started to say...
How God is going to look after her. Things are going to work out.
YVONNE: One woman ended up talking to us about her situation.
I thought she was going to brush us off, but we got her to talking.
She was almost in tears, because she had such a horrible situation with her husband having cancer and her son having emotional problems.
And so we ended up placing a book and she agreed to a Bible Study,
after we showed her some comforting words from the scriptures.
ERSILIA: This lady, we actually woke her up, because she was working all night.
I said: "Oh, I'm sorry we woke you up. " She said: "No. It's okay. "
She was all calm and she enjoyed talking to us.
We read some scriptures. We gave her a book.
We asked her if she wanted someone to come back and visit. She said: "Sure! "
So, we're going to have somebody go back and maybe that's going to be a possible study.
That's really exciting to have a positive response from the people.
SAUNDRA: Here in the territory, we really have to learn how to use what the society gives us, as far as our presentations.
Because we can actually use them. We can actually talk to the people.
We can actually be able to help the people to come to an accurate knowledge of God's Word.
Look at this beautiful picture. That's what God promised for us in the future. That's his original purpose. Yes.
- We as Christians, we look so forward to that time.
Where we're from, people don't take the time like you as much, to really contemplate what the Bible says about God's promises.
They're kind of losing faith that God has anything to do with it.
So, when we talk to people like you, it's refreshing.
- I sit right here every morning and read one whole chapter.
- Wonderful. - Not a verse, a chapter!
And I'm going through the New Testament now the fourth time.
- Great! That's really encouraging. - Every time I read it, I learn something new.
- Isn't that amazing how that happens? - Every time, you're right!
- That means you're growing in learning - You understand more.
It's opening your eyes more and more wider. Yes.
- That's beautiful. - Wonderful. [Chuckles]
That's why we came to visit, because here when we go visit other places, people appreciate it.
We go from door to door all the time, and people don't want to even hear anything about the Bible.
A man told us they don't even believe it. And they're questioning God so much now.
And they think, well you know, he doesn't even exist. And we're thinking, how can you...
- Look at all this, you're enjoying this beautiful breeze and your wonderful tomatoes.
- That's not man made, is it? - No! [Chuckles]
Impossible! Yeah.
Well, nice to meet you James. - Nice to meet you!
- Some of us will come back and talk to you more...
NIKO: The most interesting experience that I had was the most unexpected one.
I found a Bosnian at the door.
Me and DJ were in service together. He came out and I noticed he had an accent.
I asked him which country he was from. He said he's Bosnian.
Me, I go to the Serbo-Croatian congregation. And being from that country,
I had the opportunity to speak with this man on our home language.
And this man was just, wow! Okay.
He was amazed that somebody in a suit comes to his door and spoke his language.
And you got to remember, this is in the deep forest of South Carolina.
We didn't expect to find anybody that spoke the language,
So we didn't bring any literature. But the man spoke English, understood it, he accepted .
He wanted to be called back on. We gave the return visit to the brothers.
But of course, they ran in to those who weren't so interested.
ALLIE: He based it on tradition. He tried to dress it up by saying...
I mean... from the magistrate... Whatever 'istrate it was.
- Yeah. - I tell you! [Frustrated]
SHELLA: And he's of course very respecting of Mary. Of course, Mary is not imperfect.
She was a perfect woman. That was also another point of discussion, but...
[Frustrated] - That would've took a whole week I guess...
- We'll leave that for the friends who are calling on him.
- How can we do that... how can we hate...
- Because you don't believe in the trinity. A Christian believes in the Trinity.
- We wouldn't come here to your door... - I can't hate you...
- I can't talk to you right now, but no probably not.
- Well, the Bible says... - I can't talk to you right now.
- Can I leave this with you - No, I can't... [Shuts door]
Overall though, the long conversations at the doors,
The Bible studies started,
the beautiful scenery,
the animals they don't get to see every day.
Well, let's just say it was quite different from what they were used to...
Anyway, at the end of the day. One group wasn't ready to go back to the hotel.
Instead, they had one more visit to make.
ROXIE: Here live on CNN. [Chuckles]
We're coming to you from Lake Hartwell out here from beautiful Clemson, South Carolina.
With all the friends here from Florida to California.
And these friends have come down to do just a marvelous work in our neighborhood.
We can't thank them enough. - The work of our Lord!
So, I thought I bring them out here and show them just how beautiful our territory is.
Look around! Look around! [Laughter]
And I'm... Cut! [Clapping]
- Okay. The camera is off!
[Chuckles]
- Look! These are the feet, that Jehovah loves. [Laughter]
Oh, they're beautiful Aww.
With band aids and blisters and all! [Chuckles]
Hey I don't think you're wet enough, why don't you go back in?
Finally, they arrive at the hotel.
We have been out in service for 12 hours.
The reason why I don't have any shoes on is because they made me go to this lake!
[Chuckles and chatter]
So, so far a good day? - Very good day! We look forward to tomorrow.
We did about 6 hours today.
Now that they're at the hotel. It's a whole different type of fun.
They enjoyed spending time together.
The benefit of everybody being at the same location made it convenient for us to reconvene in the evening.
And really talk about our whole day, plan the next day.
This particular hotel where we stayed, they had like a little brunch. It was at 6:30 or 7:00.
So, we all come down and get a little bite and talk.
If you're going to go on unassigned territory, it's a wonderful thing for everybody to stay together.
Because you get an opportunity to encourage one another, some may not have good experiences,
Some may have wonderful experiences.
When you reconvene in the hotel it's encouraging for all of us
And see the enjoyment derived from that trip.
Sometimes they played basketball.
Sometimes they swam in the pool.
And other times, they played cards together.
[Chatter]
Oh my God! You won! [Clapping]
Shella. How do you feel? The first time playing spoons.
I don't know! - The first time a woman to come close to a championship.
I'm representing! [Laughter]
Yes. I'm the husband of Shella Moritz!
Yes, I'm very proud of her. She grabbed the spoons throughout the whole competition.
I'm 100% behind her as her husband. [Laughter]
We're going to take the spoon with us! We're going to keep the spoon! [Chatter]
It's enjoyable! You not only have an opportunity to be out in the ministry and have fun, a good time.
But at some of your down time you have an opportunity to do that as well.
After a full day of activity, they were about ready to get some rest.
The next day, they did it all over again.
Except, each day brought its own joyful experiences.
- Wave... Say hi! - [Chatter] Hey!
But after an enjoyable 4 consecutive days of service.
They were in for a change of pace!
[Climatic music]
The presiding overseer's wife, sister Hardee...
As our trip was getting to the end, she wanted to show us some waterfalls.
And some caves and things like this.
[Climatic music continues]
And as we were driving up to this cave, there wasn't very much parking.
We drove in, my family and I. And the Moritz' pulled in behind us.
There was a parking space next to us, but it was very small.
And there was one on the opposite side.
Well, brother Moritz tried to get into the one right next to us.
So, as we backed in, he wanted to back in as well.
As he pulled up to back in, sister Moritz was getting out!
I guess David didn't realize she'd gotten out, so he ran over her foot.
But before that happened she said: "David! No! "
And before you know it, he hit her foot!
And she's screaming: "Aaahhh! "
And so what's David do? He pulls forward.
He runs over it again. "Aaahhh! "
And he looks back and says: " Oh, that's okay. She has another one! It'll be alright! "
It got her flip-flop! - How do you know? - Because I know! I know!
Her foot would have been like a pancake! - Yeah whatever!
Just as we were talking about being married for 10 years.
10 years of bliss!
David: I ran over her foot with the car. And she didn't break any bones or even cry.
[Laughter] So, what did you learn?
I learned that my wife is invinsible! [Laughter]
First stop? The historical Stumphouse Tunnel!
- [Sarcastically] I'm not a bit bent out of breath!
- Let me show you my mosquito bites! Ehm... ehm... ehm...
The tunnel was meant to be part of a railroad system in the 1850's.
But failed to be completed due to the US civil war.
It was like 2 miles long. You wouldn't imagine seeing a cave this big, this dark!
We couldn't see 2 feet in front of us! It was just an amazing experience!
On the opposite side, they have stairs that go up.
[Climatic music continues]
You guys survived? [Laughter, chatter]
Oh it was wonderful! It was really something!
But they never finished that railroad.
The tunnel was the bomb! It was off the 'hizout! [Laughter]
You'll never see another place like that very soon!
You know! Normally when they start something, man tries to finish it.
But here's another example of what man gets started and they just don't finish.
It was a good idea! But it didn't happen.
- But ideas from Jehovah always happen! - Uhuh. Carry through.
One day we may just be using that tunnel for something.
If they thought that tunnel was interesting. Wait till they find out what's next!
They were just amazed to see how much beauty this congregation had in it's territory!
Not just the beautiful green mountains and hills.
The biggest treat of all, were the waterfalls.
They enjoyed the waterfalls so much, they decided to take a closer look.
When they got there, some just couldn't hold themselves back, so they jumped right in!
They knew they'd never enjoy such terrain in Florida! So, they took full advantage of every moment!
DARRIAN: Did you see that waterfall? I took a picture in there, and then I got stuck!
Not my leg, but I got stuck because the rocks were so slippery.
I had to be careful and go slow. And that's why I'm so drentched.
Whoa! Fhew! This is the best vacation ever!
Ah! Fhew!
Yeah, she's washing her feet, and you're drinking! [Laughter]
Look! She's washing her feet. And Niko drinks! [Laughter]
[Climatic music continues]
Then they went to see an even bigger waterfall!
[Music continues]
SARINA: I would say: "Please brother White! My feet are hurting! "
"I have blisters. " And he would say: "No! Keep going You haven't placed your quota of books. "
YVONNE: He was a real hard task master. [Laughter]
But we finally got sister Hardee, it's a local sister, and we asked her:
"Please save us from this brother!" [Chuckles]
And so she arranged for us to come to this beautiful waterfall.
- Oh there's a waterf... Brother White said I couldn't look at it.
She wouldn't let us come, unless we promised not to throw him over.
ERSILIA: This place is really beautiful. We can see how beautiful Jehovah's creation is.
And it's just breathtaking. You can't even describe it in words.
It just fills you up with a wonderful feeling inside of you, just thinking about Jehovah.
And what he really gave us to enjoy this!
NENAD: You can just imagine if it's beautiful now in this old system,
How beautiful it can be in the new system when Jehovah makes the whole world look like this.
JOHN: Oh, if you like our latest landscaping efforts. You can call 555-5625.
And for about 100 million dollars we can get this for you! Thank you. [Chuckles]
Doing seldom worked territory was beyond enjoyable!
Not only because of the ministry. And not because of the beautiful scenery.
But it was something else that they only realized towards the end.
TERRIL: Many in our congregation have been in seldom worked territory before.
They've shared the joys with us!
And up until now, we really couldn't fully relate to it. But now we see it!
And we know the joy that our brothers and sisters have had in working seldom worked territory.
So, we're going to take that joy first back to our book study.
And get them so excited that at least 50% of our book study is going to join us next year.
And we hope that it can rub off on the rest of the congregation.
And they'll be interested in doing seldom worked territory as well.
JILL: Here it's a more relaxed setting.
And so I go home and I really want to talk to everyone about Jehovah's Word.
DENIS: You get to know yourself, because you hear things...
"Oh, that's what you are! You're that kind of person! "
If somebody that knew you said that, you wouldn't think twice about it.
But if somebody that doesn't know you says it. You're like:
"Oh man! I talk too much at the door? Oops! " Just like I'm talking too much right now.
YVONNE: It does make you feel very close to Jehovah's organization.
And like a foretaste of what it's going to be like in the new system.
NENAD: Knowing that this work is supported by Jehovah and he's directing it through his organization and his holy spirit.
And us coming down here and hearing brothers that are local being surprised
How we're getting all these good experiences. They're surprised about that!
But we know that we're getting these good experiences, because Jehovah is behind it.
He knows we made a special effort to come up here.
And so he's blessing our effort with Bible Studies and many wonderful experiences.
DJ: I benefited so much! I felt so big coming back to St. Pete.
Like I can take on any door now, because I had the experience.
NIKO: I came back to St. Petersburg from Liberty, much more freer at the door.
Now, talking at the door is really no big deal at all. After having conversations with people.
Because when people listen to you. Like they do in rural areas like Liberty, South Carolina.
It makes you more willing to talk, make an effort what you're going to say and how to present a certain magazine or a book.
So, basically it just made me more free. It was just a wonderful experience.
They weren't the only ones that felt like that!
Because the congregation they were assigned to also reaped benefits.
RUBY: And we certainly enjoyed having you brothers and sisters from the St. Pete area to work with us.
It was a joy to get to know more of our brothers and sisters.
WILDA: It's so encouraging to having the brothers come and help us work our territory.
Because it helps us to appreciate more that this is a worldwide brotherhood.
And that we're all engaged in the same thing. We're all working towards the same goal.
And it's wonderful to get to meet some of our other brothers and sisters.
Over the years, the more of these groups that come and visit us,
the more of a boost it is to the congregation. To, as I said, get out and support them.
So, it not only helps get our territory worked, but it also helps us to be more field service motivated.
And that's what it's like in seldom worked territory!
Have you ever thought to be part of it the next time around?
JOHN: We also want to encourage our brothers and sisters in the Central congregation to perhaps...
put their hands to the plow next time this privilege of service comes up.
We may have to fight each other for the spot to be allowed to go,
but there's no reason why 2 different car groups can't go to 2 different areas!
JACKIE: These are brothers and sisters that I really didn't know before I came to this hall.
Now I feel like, you know, they're really truly my brothers and sisters.
So, personally I would encourage it for everybody.
I think everybody should experience it, young and old.
DENIS: Whenever you want to do something that's spiritual, to reach out to serve Jehovah more fully.
Don't worry about the finances. Don't worry about if you can do it.
Just worry about if: "I want to do it. "
STACIE: It's no greater joy than being able to share in the ministry as a family unit.
And I just think that if we could encourage as many others to do the same.
Then it's going to be well worth the time we've spent here.
NIKO: I know what all the young people are thinking. They're thinking:
"It's not really as fun as they say it is." "It's..." You know... "Being packed in your car, driving for a million hours, with your parents!"
I mean, I realize that, but it's really a blast. People listen to you.
You have so much fun with all the people that go. You learn so much.
You come back a freer person. And if you put it in modern words. I'd...
What would you say? I'd say: It's the bomb!
DENIS: If you never tried it, you're missing out! And try it before Armageddon comes!
Psalms 34:8 says: "Taste and see that Jehovah is good. "
If you're a baptized publisher and really want to taste and see Jehovah's goodness,
don't hesitate to join the next group that goes,
or even start a group of your own!
Then you will really understand what it's like 'Working The Great Harvest! '
