As I promised before we are heading to BVExpo in London.
I am thrilled to begin these episodes and
the main theme will be cinema and filmmaking.
In search of technical wonders, last week I went to BVExpo in London.
In search of technical wonders, last week I went to BVExpo in London.
So let's begin with that.
BVExpo is a broadcasting technology event
which represented more than 350 brands.
It is an opportunity not only to look at the achievements of the industry
but also try out the latest equipment.
In addition visitors were offered training seminars
on current events in television and filmmaking industries.
This year amongst mentors was the well known DOP Philip Bloom
and editing guru Larry Jordan.
First what I noticed was GoPro booth with its Heroes.
Hero cameras still attract a lot of interest for visitors.
I feel like these cameras have already found their place in the market.
Next to the new Hero 3 camera was exhibited the well-known housing for stereoscopy
which you could watch in action as the material that was displayed on the screens.
But does GoPro have competition?
Answering this question, nearby demonstrating their action cameras was the company Drift.
This company offers 3 types of cameras
- Drift HD, Drift HD 720 and HD Ghost.
Of course, all necessary accessories are available.
I won't go into technical specifications, but if you are interested - use these links.

If you are not interested in GoPro but Black Magic Cinema
I can delight you and say that the camera was in every second booth.
But if you still haven't got your Black Magic Cinema camera,
it maybe for the best because we have heard that a while ago they were still working on the sensor
it maybe for the best because we have heard that a while ago they were still working on the sensor
now the main problem is back focus.
Nevertheless they are working on the problems Nevertheless they are working on the problems and soon we will be able to see these wonders in action even more and more.
Of course, in Black Magic Design booth they were demonstrating their pride
Da Vinci Resolve colour grading correction program.
Da Vinci Resolve colour grading correction program.
I can only agree that it's worth including this program in your work flow.
And the best is that you can download it for free.
The only limitation is output.
So the maximum quality you can export your project in is HD.
So forgive me technopaths
but in this episode in-depth technical information was not included.
However, all the information about previously mentioned products and events can be found at the end of the episode.
I hope this short "get to know" episode will lead to our next meeting. Bye!
