This presentation introduces you to the Steelcase Library at the DeVos Center on the Grand Rapids
Pew Campus. The Steelcase Library is where the majority of the education collections
are located. The Steelcase Library is also home to the business, social work, criminal
justice, engineering, hospitality/tourism, and philanthropy collections. One way to easily
locate the Steelcase Library is to look for the clock tower, the Beckering Family Carillon
Tower. It is the corner of Building A of the DeVos Center. The Pk-12 Curriculum Materials
Library is housed on the second floor, just above the Steelcase Library.
Parking for the Library is available in the Seward Lot (#19) between Winter and Seward
Streets, with access from Fulton Street. Additional parking is available at the Watson Lot (#21)
behind Secchia Hall. You may find directions at the following URL: gvsu.edu/maps.htm
Looking for a quiet place to study while at the DeVos Center? Visit the beautiful Reading
Room in the Steelcase Library. Internet access and printers are available. A well trained
professional staff and librarians are able to assist you with your research. An instruction
room/computer lab is found in the Steelcase Library. When not in use for classes, you
are welcomed to use the computers for your research needs. The Reading Room contains
the reference books but the ASRS, or the Automatic Storage Retrieval System, contains the items
for check out, including books, videos, and bound journals.
