Hi! It is Steve from PartSelect. Today, we are going to show you how to change the upper
spray arm in your dishwasher and it is a really easy job. All we are going to need is a quarter
inch nut driver. Let me show you how we do it. Now to do this repair, we will start by
opening the dishwasher door and you could just pull that top rack forward enough to
reach in and take the screw out of that top spray arm, but it is also just as easy to
empty that rack and then remove the rack stops simply by pushing back on the locking tab
and rotating them towards the center of the tub and removing them. And we can pull that
top rack completely out and just set it aside. Just push the rails back in so we don’t
hurt ourselves on them. Then with a quarter inch nut driver, we will just remove that
screw in the center of that spray arm and we are going to keep that screw and the little
center bearing that comes with it. We will discard the old spray arm. We will take our
new spray arm and insert the bearing into the center. We will slide the screw into position.
We will just start it by hand first and then we will tighten it and make sure that the spray arm turns freely.
Now to install the upper rack, we will just pull the rails out enough to start the rear
wheels into them. Then line up all front wheels, push the rack back out of the way and just
pull those rails fair enough forward that we can reinstall those rack stops. Just see
there is a little locking tab that you just pull backwards. So we will start putting the
bottom end in first, rotating it towards the inside, while pushing back on that locking
tab and stand that locking tab straight up
and our repair is complete. I told you it was an easy job. Thanks for watching and good
luck with your repair.
