Have a look at this. It's one of the brand new netbooks from HP.
The HP Mini. Specifically, the HP Mini 1035.
And it's really, really nice because it's sort of
raising the bar on netbooks, a little bit.
It's a little thinner, a little lighter. It's got a little bit of pizzazz,
I like to say. That's what I like to call it.
Take a look at that. It's got that really nice HP graphic design,
which like gives it that pizzazz. I'm gonna copy right that.
I'm totally owning that line for netbooks. Pizzazz!
It's got a 10.2'' screen on it. It's gonna run on the GMA 950 platform.
So, it's got good enough graphics for doing your Word processing,
and, you know, your basic netbookin' stuff, but you're not gonna be able to do
any gaming. Don't kid yourself. It is the GMA 950.
It has a gig of DDR2 RAM on board and a 60 GB hard drive.
So, you're going to be able to get done
just about anything you wanna get done.
It also has XP SP3 Home version installed on board, as well.
It's got a really nice keyboard. One of the things that I really liked
when I started playing with this particular netbook,
is the keyboard is much, much roomier than on a lot of the other netbooks out there.
And makes it a lot easier to actually do your typing on this.
I mean, a lot of times when you're using a netbook,
you'll find that it's really difficult to type very fast
because the keys are so darn tiny.
This has like full-size keys on it. And it's really, really easy to type on it.
In fact, even on video you can tell, you can look at it and see
that the keys are much, much larger.
It also has a really nice design and that the screen here doesn't have
a bezzle sticking out of it. So, it just has that nice, smooth,
clean look to it. And it also has a very nice glossy screen,
which is going to allow the colors on the screen to pop a lot better.
And everything's going to look a little more vibrant on this particular netbook screen.
It also has a button down here for disabling and enabling the track pad on the fly.
So, if you're one of those people that kind of smudges around on your track pad
when you're trying to type, you can turn that on and off as well.
It only weight 2.38 pounds, which is extraordinarily light.
It's sort of the point of a netbook, but 2.38 pounds is very, very light.
On the front here you're gonna find just a couple of switches
and a couple of indicator lights.
Over here is your power switch,
which is used to, well, I'm not going to tell ya.
I'm going to leave that one a mystery.
Over here is the wireless switch, this is for turning your wireless on and off
so you can conserve battery power while you're out there on the road.
If you're not in a WiFi area, you can just turn that switch off,
and you're going to save, actually a whole lot, of battery.
Over here on the side is where you're going to find a couple of ports, a couple of slots.
Right here is actually your SD card slot.
An of your SD cards can go right in there.
Right next to it you're going to find a USB port.
Now, over here on the other side you're going to find a couple more plugs.
Right here is actually your power adapter plug.
Another USB port. Something very unique on a netbook,
a port replicator port, right there.
So you're going to be able to plug this into docking stations
and port replicators and a combined headphone and microphone port
is located right here.
And, underneath this little flap, you're going to find your land port, right there,
for hooking up into a wired LAN, right underneath this little flap, right here.
On the bottom you're going to find your battery.
This is where your battery is located on this particular device.
It does have a very nice slim line battery on board here, as you can see.
Look at that. Very nice, small battery that goes in here.
So it'd be very easy to get a couple of extra batteries
and carry them around with you because they just aren't very big.
It does have a webcam on board, as well.
In order to do all of your YouTube stuff,
and whatever it is you do with a webcam.
I'll leave that up to you.
I don't want to pry into your personal life.
Everybody has their own thing they do with their webcam.
I don't really want to investigate it too deeply.
But overall, this is one, now that it's out,
it's one of the hottest netbooks on the market.
It's a great price and a really great feature set.
The Atom 1.6 processor, gig of DDR2 RAM,
60 GB hard drive, XP Home,
webcam, plenty of ports, plenty of expansion possibilities,
and all weighing in at a rather svelte 2.38 pounds.
So, if you're in the market for a nice, stylish netbook
that's not going to feel, sort of, cheap and clunky,
this is a great one to have a look at because it really does feel
very high quality in your hands.
The image quality on the screen is really, really good.
And, just in general, it just feels like a much more expensive notebook than it really is.
So, go have a look at this one. It's the HP Mini 1035.
