Roger: Yeah, uh, we just started off on the trail.
I think Mykol said he's behind us; he's going to catch up at some point.
Kind of hard to see if we're going in the right direction or not.
We're making progress. I mean, that's something.
How do you like it so far, Shane?
All right, we'll see what happens.
It's been about two hours so far.
I called Myke up; he said to just keep going,
but I'm not seeing any real footprints around here.
Shane: There's no sign of life.
I don't know whether I should be concerned.
But, yeah, he wouldn't send us out here if it was too hard
if it was too hard to find our way back.
So we're just gonna keep going.
You know, I've gotta be honest: I'm starting to have my doubts about this trail.
I don't know.
Shane: I'm not sure.
There's no sign that anyone's been here for years.
Roger: Yeah, uh...
I would think about heading back, but I can't see where the houses were.
So, I guess we'll find something if we keep walking this way eventually.
Or we just follow the signs.
We're most of the way up the trail. There's no sign anyone's been here—
Shane: Wait, what's that? I see something!
Roger: Well, that's good. I guess someone's obviously been through here at some point.
Well, I guess we should just keep going.
Shane: There's nothing else to do.
Roger: Well, we're partway through day two.
I'm kind of getting hungry. I'm refining my tracking skills a little bit.
If you look, the snow itself is largely edible.
It doesn't give you a lot of sustenance. There's, uh...
You can find little bits and pieces in here that you can...
That you can work with.
Shane seems to be faring fairly well.
Not really sure
Not really sure how he's going, but, well...
We're just going to keep plugging on until we find our way back, I guess.
I can see we're part way up the hill. Part way, anyway.
The view is lovely. You can kind of see Flagstaff.
Off in the distance, anyway. Trying to find some real signs of civilization around here.
If we can get a little bit higher up if we can just summon the energy to do so.
It's not too steep.
Should be able to pull this off.
If I can... If I can do this with one hand...
Shane: Roger, wait for me!
Roger: Make sure that's turned off for me.
Shane: It appears Roger didn't make it.
But, on the upper note...
I have a new camera.
Roger: Well, I have good news and bad news.
The good news is we made it pretty high up.
And when I say "we"...
I finally found Shane, who appears to have left me for dead at some point.
Shane: I had better things to do.
Roger: And got my camera back.
Unfortunately, I appear to have been slightly...
Slightly mugged while I was down there.
So, cold protection, not so hot right now.
So to speak.
So, well, I think there's some houses over there, so we'll see what happens.
Well, a cold night...
I'm starting to have my doubts about this trip.
I haven't even seen...
I haven't even seen anyone in...
Wait, hold on.
Look!
Hello?
You know, in restrospect, I'm not really sure how I left those there.
By the way the sun's hanging up in the sky,
I figure it's probably at least a week so far.
I've sprained both of my ankles
Twice, at least.
I think Shane's probably dead by now.
I haven't seen him in a while.
Just remember...
My card's almost full; I doubt this will even finish...
Mykol Hnatyshak.

Shane: Wait! I can see the exit! Roger: C - K - H
N H? N?
What?
Shane: The exit! I can see it!
Roger: Oh boy...
