In the last tutorial, we downloaded an eBook from the Winnipeg Public
Library into Adobe Digital Editions. In this tutorial, we'll cover connecting an
eBook reader to your computer and using Adobe Digital Editions to transfer an
eBook onto it.
I just used the usb cable to connect my eBook reader to my computer. Now,
usually when one does something like this, something changes on the screen.
In this case, nothing is happening, and that is because my eBook reader has a
message on its screen, prompted me to either connect to the computer or keep reading.
I'm going to choose to connect to the computer.
Now my eReader is being displayed on the left hand side, under a new item
called "Devices."
To transfer my eBook onto my eReader,
I can either hold down the mouse button over the eBook and drag it on to
the eReader device on the left (notice how the mouse cursor's red "No" sign changes to
a green plus sign
once it's over the eBook reader)
I could also right-click on the eBook,
select "Copy to Computer/Device" and click on the the eReader in the list that
is displayed.
I'll do that now.
The book begins to copy to the device
and after a moment,
the book is on the device.
You are now ready to read your Winnipeg Public Library eBook on your eReader
device.
Congratulations!
If you have any questions about anything we've covered in these video tutorials,
please don't hesitate to ask the friendly staff at your local Winnipeg
Public Library branch.
Thank you very much for watching,
and have a great day!
